SPACINGThe closer together baffles are, the better the acoustic performance. Freeform baffles can’t get closer than 2.25” apart (since that’s the thickness of the individual baffle).

THREADED RODIndividual baffles are supplied with embedded 1/4”-20 gauge threaded rod spaced evenly along length. Coupling nut and additional rod lengths provided by installer.
CABLE TO DECKEmbedded cable grippers mount via suspended aircraft cables. Because the cable can be arranged in any pattern, this connection offers the most design flexibility.

3MM FELTFreeform has a 9 mm felt structure that is laminated with 3 mm felt. Optionally, the 9mm structure can be left exposed on the bottom of the baffle for additional color options.
The process used to create PET felt often results in a heathered effect where multiple tones are present. Slight variations in color should be expected when using this sustainable material.
Monitors and printers vary. Please request a material sample to verify felt colors.

ASTM C 423-17: Type J Mounting - The specimen is an array of straight sound absorbing baffles suspended from a cable approximately 1295.4 mm (51”) above the horizontal test surface. This approximates the mounting method of a typical ceiling baffle installation. The baffles were evenly distributed in a single row of 10 units. Baffles were spaced 304.8 mm (12”) apart. Actual acoustic performance will vary based on the shape of the baffle.
