Freefall from Amgrow is a unique aquatic herbicide for the control of floating weeds such as Azolla, Salvinia, and Lemna (duckweed) in dams, lakes and other closed water bodies. Freefall is a blend of natural surfactants and orange oil that offers an aquatic weed management solution with minimal environmental impact and excellent user safety. How does Freefall work? Freefall Aquatic Herbicide is a safe and effective solution for the control of Red Azolla, Salvinia and Lemna in closed water bodies. Freefall is formulated in Australia with natural surfactants and orange oil, resulting in a product that has excellent user and environmental safety characteristics. The surfactant properties of Freefall change the surface tension of the water and disrupt the ability of the weeds to stay afloat. As Azolla, Lemna and Salvinia must remain afloat to survive, the weeds begin to die as they sink to the bottom of the water body. The surfactants also provide a cleaning action on the water surface, removing dust, debris and other floating particles, resulting in a clean, mirror-like surface following application. Features of Sedgehammer Herbicide Features of Freefall Aquatic Herbicide Unique mechanical / physical mode of action in weed control – no activity grouping, so no resistance issues from regular usage. Excellent user safety characteristics, unscheduled product. Minimal environmental impact due to natural ingredients. One easy dilution rate and simple application method for all registered weeds. Does not impact on non-target aquatic vegetation. Safe for use in irrigation dams, no risk of harming turf or crops. Biodegradable within the aquatic environment following application. No foul odours, possesses a fresh citrus fragrance. Australian made and formulated.

    › Freefall Application Guide

Freefall is mixed with water in the ration of 1:100 (1 part Freefall to 100 parts water) and sprayed directly to the weeds using a knapsack sprayer with a coarse droplet size. Apply as closely to the weeds as possible, avoiding overspray onto open water.

Freefall should not be applied to dense infestations of weed where no water is visible. In these situations mechanical removal of the weeds is recommended prior to application of Freefall.

Best results are achieved through multiple light applications over several weeks. Avoid heavy applications where possible as this will result in unnecessarily excessive amounts of Freefall being applied.

With heavily infested water bodies the user should be conscious of the chance of eutrophication following control of the weed population. This occurs as weeds begin to break down in the water reducing water quality. Approaching the control of a large population of weeds in sections over several weeks will reduce the chance of eutrophication.

Copcicde AlgaecideCopcide is a broad spectrum algaecide containing 105g/L of Copper in the form of Ethanolamine complexes.

Copcide is registered for the control of planktonic and filamentous algae species in a variety of aquatic situations including irrigation dams, aquaculture and potable water supplies.

Mix one part product with 100 parts water.

Spray onto free-floating plants lightly, just enough to change their normal colour.

Avoid a single heavy application; instead apply several light applications over a 1-3 week period. Apply when weed infestation is small rather than advanced. DO NOT spray dense solid mats of Salvinia with no visible water surface. Where possible apply directly to the target weeds and avoid spraying water where weeds are not present. DO NOT overspray more than 0.5 m into open water. If weed growth is heavy, mechanical removal prior to spraying must be used to minimise the amount of spraying necessary and reduce the risk of eutrophication. Water bodies with an average depth of less than 1 metre should not be treated.

Eraze 510 Bi-AquaticEraze 510 Bi-Aquatic is a non-selective herbicide containing 510g/L of the active ingredient glyphosate present in the form of an isopropylamine (IPA) salt. It is registered for the control of a wide range of perennial and annual weeds in a number of situations including general weed control, non-agricultural, brush and woody weed, aquatic and forestry uses.
