Designed to fit the “littlest” kids more precisely, the Mini is the smallest tilt-in-space wheelchair ever, yet it’s packed with features that make it mighty. It is lightweight at 22 lbs. including footrest supports and anti-tippers. It folds into a tiny package and fits into small spaces for transport. It’s ideal for toddlers on the go.

The Mini meets the needs of ever changing and growing “little” kids. It adjusts 2” in width from 10” to 12” and 4” in depth from 8” to 12”. With seating attachment hardware it will accommodate as little as a 5” seat width and 5” seat depth and with 2” seat extensions, as long as a 14” seat depth. And because toddlers are so tiny, many of the adjustments are in ½” increments.

Unique to the NXT and with the Mini is Freedom’s 15° abduction frame option. Specifically designed for infant and toddler seating, the abduction frame allows for anatomically correct positioning of lower extremities during the formative period of hip joint development. Until now, this is an aspect of early intervention seating and has not been achieved with mobility devices designed and marketed for this population.

Good things do come in small packages. The Mini frame is only 21” long and only 11” high. This is the smallest tilt-in-space frame ever. Footrest hangers insert into the front of the seat frame to help minimize the overalls size and reduce the weight. With smaller armrests, footrests and footrest hangers the Mini really is a mighty small package.
