• Lion Brand® stitch holders • Lion Brand® large-eyed blunt needle ADDITIONAL MATERIALS A few yards of white yarn to make the flower GAUGE 18 sts = about 5 in. (12.5 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. STITCH EXPLANATION yo (yarn over) An increase that also creates a small decorative hole (eyelet) in the fabric, worked as follows: 1. Bring yarn to front, between the needles. 2. Take yarn to back, over the right needle. This creates the new st. You are now ready to proceed with the next st as instructed. NOTES 1. Rows 1 and 2: Beg with a RS (knit) row, work in St st (k on RS, p on WS) for 2 rows. Row 3 (Eyelet Row – RS): K2, *yo, k2tog, k4; rep from * to last 4 sts, yo, k2tog, k2.

Bind off. SECOND STRAP Return the 5 strap sts from holder to needle. Work same as first strap. FINISHING Sew bound-off end of each strap to top edge of corresponding corner of front. FLOWER With white yarn, cast on 40 sts. Knit 1 row. Purl 1 row. Bind off. Roll the flower into a spiral then, with white yarn threaded into blunt needle, take a few sts through the base of the roll to hold the shape. Sew side edges of skirt together. Sew Flower to front of Dress. Weave in yarn ends.
