The application requirements for admission are listed below. The general application and $35 application fee (waived when you apply online) are required for all applicants. Although the ORU Admissions Committee is able to use unofficial transcripts for decision purposes, all final transcripts must be received directly from the generating institution. Oral Roberts University admits students without regard to race, color, religion, gender, age, disability, national orgin or status as a veteran in any of its policies, practices or procedures. Prior to enrolling, all students are required to complete a health assessment form with a physician and submit immunization records. For details log on to www.studenthealth.oru.edu.
A FRESHMAN applicant is defined as one who has earned fewer than 15 college credit hours after high school graduation.

ORU RESIDENTIAL POLICY (Traditional On Campus Students Only)Oral Roberts University is a residential campus. All single, full-time undergraduate students under the age of 25 are required to reside in the University’s residential halls. Students who desire to request an exception must submit a statement of petition to the Office of the Dean of Men or the Dean of Women. Exceptions to this policy will be granted to those undergraduate students who are married or who live in the Tulsa area with their parents. Students aged 25 and older who desire to live in the residential halls must also request an exception. Contact the Office of the Dean of Men and Dean of Women at 918.495.7707 for a petition form or for more information.
FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (U.S. Citizens only)The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required to begin the financial aid application process. The application may be filed as early as January of the year you plan to attend ORU. Apply online at www.fafsa.gov. Remember to include ORU’s school code (003985). We recommend that you take advantage of the IRS Data Retrieval Service. Simply check the box on your FAFSA indicating you would like to use the data from your electronically submitted tax return to complete your FAFSA. ORU will typically receive your results within 72 hours. Financial aid can only be offered after we receive your FAFSA results. For the fall semester, apply for admission and financial aid by February 15 for priority consideration. Log on to finaid.oru.edu to get an estimate of scholarships, grants and other aid using ORU’s net price calculator.

An INTERNATIONAL applicant is defined as any student applying to ORU that is not a U.S. citizen or holder of a Green Card. International applicants are required to submit the same credentials as freshmen or transfer students. In addition, international students may be required to provide documentation of their English proficiency by submitting scores from one of the following tests:

Providing your Social Security Number (SSN) will allow ORU to uniquely identify your records. GET ON THE FAST TRACK!Through ORU’s Fast Track program, you can start on your master’s degree while completing your undergraduate degree program. You can take up to 12 graduate hours free when you enroll in graduate courses as part of your undergraduate tuition block in your junior or senior year. Through a combination of fast track and advanced standing, it is possible to complete some master’s degree programs in as little as one additional year. Talk to your advisor about getting on the “Fast Track” plan during advisement week in the fall or spring semester.

Complete Your Admissions FileFreshmen: Please submit your ACT or SAT score(s) and high school transcript(s). Although not required for admission, please also submit college transcripts for courses taken concurrently in high school and/or CLEP/AP scores for transfer credit evaluation.Transfer: Please submit transcripts from all colleges/universities previously attended. A high school transcript is also required for applicants who have less than 24 credit hours earned from a college/university after high school graduation.

Meet Scholarship Deadlines (Traditional On-Campus Students Only)ORU offers generous scholarships and grants for students enrolled in our traditional on-campus undergraduate programs. Merit scholarships are awarded automatically upon admission. However, some scholarships require an additional application, audition, try-out or nomination. Visit our website at www.finaid.oru.edu for a complete list of scholarship opportunities through ORU. You’ll also find links to reputable sites where you can search for private scholarships. Note: ORU institutional scholarships only apply to traditional on-campus programs.
Apply for Financial AidApplicants interested in applying for state and federal financial aid assistance should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid online at www.fafsa.gov. Some assistance programs are awarded on a first come basis. Oklahoma residents who wish to be considered for state grants should apply by March 1. We urge all students to complete their FAFSA no later than June 15. See additional instructions on page 2. Information concerning scolarships, grants and other sources of aid can also be found on our website at finaid.oru.edu.
Submit Your Enrollment and Housing Deposits upon Admission (Traditional on-campus students only)Upon admission to the University, pay your $125 Enrollment Deposit and $150 Housing Deposit online at http://payonline.oru.edu or mail your payment to ORU Undergraduate Admissions, 7777 S. Lewis Avenue, Tulsa, OK 74171. Course schedules and housing selections can only be made after deposits have been submitted. Deposits are due and non-refundable after May 1 for the Fall term and November 1 for the Spring term.
Complete Your Financial Aid File and/or Solidify Payment MethodUpon receipt of your financial aid offer, you will be asked to notify the Financial Aid Office at ORU of the funds you plan to accept and use to pay for your tuition and fees as well as housing/board when choosing to live on campus. You may also be presented with additional requests for information or required to complete additional applications. Please respond promptly to all requests. ORU offers multiple payment options, including a monthly payment plan. Balances not covered by scholarships and other financial aid may be divided in up to twelve payments. To get the best benefit, sign up for payments to start in May prior to the fall term. Payments must be completed by April of the academic year. Visit www.afford.com upon receipt of your scholarships/financial aid offer to establish a monthly payment plan that fits your budget and family.
