TRAVELLING AROUND
By car
Frankston is easy to reach by direct roads andmotorways.TravelfromMelbourneviaEastLinktollwayforeasydrivingorfollowthe route closer to the coast along Nepean Highway.Exploretheareaatyourownpace,eitherinyourowncarorhireonefromthevariousmajoroutletsinthecity.Taxisare also readily available.
By public transport – trains, buses and ferries
The Frankston Transit Interchange in the heart of the city makes catching trains and buses a breeze. Trains depart for Melbourne CBD every 10 to 20 minutes. The Stony Point line also links to Frankston and trains run a numberoftimesaday.Anextensivepublic busnetworkoperatesthroughouttheMornington Peninsula.
AregularferryacrossPortPhillipBaylinks Geelong and Great Ocean Road to the Mornington Peninsula. The 40 minute crossing from Queenscliff to Sorrento saves time,distanceandisafabulouswaytoexperiencethebaywhetheryoutravelasa foot passenger or by car.
