Encourage people to stay home when sick.

Clean surfaces that are frequently touched – things such as shared desks, countertops, kitchen areas,

Stay up to date on developments in our community.

*All further guidance in this document pertains to all staff.*

MINIMIZING RISK:  MANAGING SCHEDULES & INSTRUCTIONAL SESSIONS:

Students are required to let school and transportation staff know if they themselves, family members, or those they have had contact with are experiencing or have experienced any signs or symptoms of COVID‐19. Stress that they should stay home if sick or if they have had contact with those who have Covid‐19 or COVID‐19 symptoms. Have thermometers available to check students for fever. Communication is the key!

All students and staff are to complete COVID‐19 screening prior to entry onto any school board property, including transportation

Display, review, and follow all attached Florida Department of Health Guidance

Adhere to social gathering and distancing policies according to local, state, and federal authorities during indoor and outdoor activities (6 feet apart) *Follow attached Social Distancing Guidance from the Florida Department of Health*

All students must have assigned seating in classrooms and for any transportation to or from school. Increase the space between desks. Rearrange student desks to maximize the space between students. Turn desks to face in the same direction (rather than facing each other) to reduce transmission caused from virus containing droplets (e.g., from talking, coughing, sneezing). • Avoid mixing students in common areas. For example, allow students to eat lunch and breakfast in their classrooms rather than mixing in the cafeteria. If it is not possible to suspend use of common areas, try to limit the extent to which students mix with each other, and particularly with students from other classes (e.g., stagger lunch by class, segregate lunch and recess area by class.  Restrict hallway use as much as possible. Try to avoid taking multiple classes to bathrooms at once (e.g., avoid having all classes use the bathroom right after lunch or recess). Limit other activities where multiple classes may interact.

Group size counts should include both students and staff, and account for transition periods between sessions.

Small group instruction in groups of 9 or less students to 1 instructional or non‐instructional staff member.

Avoid person‐to‐person contact

Create one‐way traffic flow based on entrances and exits

Maximize fresh air flow in the classroom.

Use outdoor spaces whenever possible

All students are required to wash their hands before and after meals are consumed.

Meals may be picked up in the cafeteria, following all social distancing procedures.  Students consuming any meals on campus must remain spaced at a minimum of 6ft for seating.  Students must have assigned seating for consuming meals.

All students and staff are expected to follow the hand hygiene procedures as outlined in the attached Florida Department of Health Guidance.

No non‐essential visitors or guests may be on campus.
