There will be no buying from the pool kiosk until the last session at the pool in week two.
CHRISTMAS IS APPROACHING
This Wednesday afternoon we have been asked to join the town in celebrating Christmas. Local businesses are supporting our local school libraries. There will be celebrations and sales in the street with our school students invited to sing outside the Commonwealth Bank at 4:30pm. We are asking all students from Kinder to Year 6 who wish to come along to meet staff at The HUB located near St George Bank at 4:15pm. Staff will walk the students up to the bank to sing and parents can then collect them. We ask that the students wear school uniform and a Christmas hat or Christmas head dress for the occasion.
TARONGA ZOO EXPERIENCE.
Brandon Paton in 5-6 Wentworth entered a NAIDOC art competition and was the State Finalist for his division. His picture of a lizard was transformed into street banners that decorated the zoo for the past few months. As part of his prize his class was treated to a VC with one of the animal keepers from the zoo. The students had the opportunity to see a range of animals and ask lots of questions. This was a fantastic opportunity for the students in 5-6 Wentworth. Thanks Brandon!

PBL Acknowledgement Scooter / Bike /Equipment Session
Franklin has earned enough tokens for their chosen PBL acknowledgement as we celebrate positive behaviour in our classrooms and playground. This week we will be holding a Scooter/Bike/Equipment Day in the morning session on the following days: Kindergarten/Stage 1: Wednesday 23rd November Stage 2: Thursday 24th November Stage 3: Friday 25th November We will be encouraging the students to bring in their scooters as they will be easier to store in classroom areas for the day, and easier for parents to transport them to and from school. Bikes are to be parked next to the SaCC fence below the library. All students will need to accompany their scooter or bike with an appropriate helmet. Both items need to be labelled with their name and class. If your child is unable to bring in a scooter or bike, sports activities will be available for their enjoyment e.g. body rolling boards, jounces, stilts, targets etc.
A detailed note went home with your child on Friday afternoon. Congratulations, Franklin!!
Proud and Deadly Awards Last Wednesday evening the local AECG held the Annual Proud and Deadly Awards. The evening began with an amazing smoking ceremony around the mosaic at Bila Park. Thank you to all of the families who attended the evening and congratulations to those students who were awarded an award.
