HEAD LICE
Please check your child‟s hair regularly and treat accordingly. To
help prevent reinfection, apply conditioner every week, leave for 10
minutes and then use a nit comb to remove any eggs.
DEBATING
Congratulations to our Year 6 debaters, Flynn Franklin Baker,
Talyssa Furner King and Jacob Fidirikkos, who made it through the
2nd round against Aldavilla Public School. The topic was „Television
should only be Watched by Children on Weekends.‟ Our students
took the affirmative side. They are now preparing for Round 3
against Macksville Public School and we wish them good luck .

KINDER & STAGE 1 MATHS IN LIFE DAY
As part of our focus on quality teaching of numeracy this term,
Kinder and Stage 1 are holding a Maths in Life Day. This will be
held on Thursday, 14 June 2012, and parents are invited to join us.
This day will involve all students from Kindergarten and Stage 1.
The children, in class groups, will be leading the various Maths
activities. Each class will have a theme for their activity, and they
are asked to dress up on the day. The class teachers will advise you
of your child‟s theme. Students will also perform a number of
singing and dancing items for your enjoyment. The day will start
with the performances at 10.30am in the hall. We will then hold a
Sausage Sizzle lunch for the entire school as a fundraiser for
future excursions. The Maths in Life Day will be held in the hall
following lunch, and parents are invited to stay for these activities.
An order form is enclosed for sausage sandwich orders. These
need to be returned with money by tomorrow, Wednesday 13 June.

Afternoon Groups
Over the last two terms the teaching staff have enjoyed taking specialist
groups in the afternoons. Collectively, the staff have decided to make a
change for Terms 3 and 4 so that all students are with their class teacher
for the whole day rather than being split into groups. This change will
commence next week to give classes two weeks to adjust to the new
timetable. If you have any questions regarding the changes, please contact
your child‟s class teacher or our Assistant Principals, Mr Close, Mrs Smith
and Mrs Daley.
Thank you Frank Partridge VC School Community
This is my last week at Frank Partridge VC and I have enjoyed the eight
weeks working with the whole school community. You have a dedicated,
caring and supportive school staff who are proud of their students and
school. The students at your school are happy, engaged and enthusiastic
about the opportunities that are available as part of their daily learning.
Thank you to everyone for making my time as Relieving Principal here so
enjoyable.
