Francis (Fran) was born to Carl Albert and Marie Christine Johnson in Lewiston, ID, on February 3, 1935, and he passed away on February 9, 2014. e family moved to Vancouver, WA, when he was six years old. He married Karen Stursa on April 11, 1964, and they were soon to celebrate their 50th anniversary. He had two children, Troy (wife Jennifer) of WA, and Jody of MT, sisters Mary (husband Bill deceased) of WA and Margaret (husband Bruce) of OR, many nieces and nephews, and was a very proud “Papa” to Paige and Lucas. Fran had a long career in engineering and had traveled to China for several projects. He loved sailing his MacGregor 26 foot sailboat, reading, photography, antique cars, the Oregon coast and his pets. He claimed his greatest accomplishment in his life to be “his family.” Fran passed, with his wife and children at his side, from pneumonia and a battle with Parkinson’s. He will be greatly missed. A memorial will be held in the summer. Francis Albert Johnson

Francis (Fran) was born to Carl Albert and Marie Christine Johnson in Lewiston, ID, on February 3, 1935, and he passed away on February 9, 2014.
