The most important cultural sites are run by the government, for example through the public agency Centre des monuments nationaux, which have around a hundred national historical monuments at charge
Architecture The end of the Hundred Years' War marked an
important stage in the evolution of French architecture. It was the time of the French Renaissance and several artists from Italy and Spain were invited to the French court; many residential palaces, inspired by the Italians, were built. and the end of the Middle Ages, Baroque Architecture replaced the traditional Gothic style. However, in France, baroque architecture found a greater success in the secular domain than in a religious one.
Eiffel Tower When discussing French
architecture, it is impossible not to review Eiffel Tower which , has become both a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizablestructures in the world. The tower is the tallest building in Paris and the most-visited paid monument in the world;
THE Eiffel Tower.the Eiffel Tower was built by
Gustave Eiffel for the 100th
year of the French freedom.. At first,

in Barcelona, Spain, but the people
of Barcelona did not want itWhen the tower was built, it was only meant to be kept for 20 years. People did not like the Eiffel Tower and wanted it taken down. After the 20 years , the tower became the property of Paris again. By this time, the city had learned that the tower could be used to help with communications. The military used the tower to communicate during battle. When the tower was used in the capture of the spy, "Mata Hari", nobody wanted it taken apart
Art
Painting The origins of French painting were very much influenced by Flemish art and by
Italian art at the time of the Renaissance. The Renaissance painting School of Fontainebleau was directly inspired by Italian painters such as Primaticcio and Rosso Fiorentino, who both worked in France. Two of the most famous French artists of the time of Baroque era, Nicolas Poussin and Claude Lorrain, lived in Italy.

nation's national cuisine today. breakfast is often quick consisting of slices of French bread,
with jelly or jam. a pastry filled with chocolate along with coffee or tea. Children often drink hot chocolate in bowls along with their breakfasts.
Lunch and Dinner In large cities, a majority of working people
and students eat their lunch at a corporate or school cafeteria, which normally serve complete meals it is therefore not usual for students to bring their own lunch food.
dinner often consists of three courses: introductory course, sometimes soup, main course and a cheese course or dessert, sometimes with a salad offered before the cheese or dessert. Yogurt may replace the cheese course, while a simple dessert would be fresh fruit.
