    a portable low-cost long- time one lead Electrocardiogram (ECG)

    Monitor is present, which is powered by one dry battery and

    based on NUC501.

    Software has two important parts: front data processing and fast

    algorithm for R wave

    In front end processing digital filter is chosen to remove

    interference noise.

    To detect r wave we use differential threshold method, which is

    based on detecting ECG signal amplitude and slope.

    ECG is continuously monitored and details arewirelessly loaded into external memory of armprocessor using Bluetooth technology.

    RR interval of QRS wave is used to find heart rate in

    bpm For normal person this interval is 600-1000.

    If bpm is found less than 60 then it is bradycardia, ifit is above 100 then it is tachycardia

    If exception is found then it declares panic conditionand sends a 1 min sample of ECG using GSM/GPRSmodule.
