    Emma’s Move By: Brooke B.

Emma was excited to move, but sad at the same time. On her tour, she met a great friend Sam who even gave Emma her phone number and was very excited to see her again at school once she moved. Emma was also upset to leave her best friends April and Isabella, who she has known since kindergarten. That night, they were having a going away sleepover because it was Emma's last two days before she moved. Emma brought her pillow sleeping bag and two stuffed animals she could not sleep without. The girls were doing a gift exchange and Emma totally forgot until the girls pulled out their gifts. “Emma where are your gifts to us,” Isabella asked. Emma looked around for something, anything! She then saw her special stuffed animals. “I totally forgot about our gift exchange, but here are my two little mice stuffed animals that you can remember me with. You guys know I cannot sleep without them.” April and Isabella were touched by the so thoughtful gift. They will remain friends forever.

How to Make a Pop-Up Card

By: Brooke B. Step 1: First take 2 pieces of white construction or printer paper. Then, fold the first piece of paper into a card.

Step 2: Take the paper you have just folded and decorate the inside and outside however you’d like.

Step 3: Take your second piece of paper and draw whatever you would like to pop up. Then, make a thick rectangle attached to the drawing that you want to pop up.

Step 4: Cut out your shapes and color them if you have not already.

Step 5: Take the rectangles attached to your shapes and fold them like a staircase.

Step 6: Now, take glue or tape and attach them wherever you would like.

Step 7: Now, close the card and when you open it, your shapes will pop up!
