founding principle is the stigma-smashing blend of strong yoga and smart fitness.

mission

Move™ Yoga, the UK-based brother of Broga® Yoga,

is founded on the belief that millions of men (and

women) can live happier, healthier, more fulfilling,

injury-free, self-aware, and quite possibly longer lives

if they incorporate yoga into their current health and

wellness regime.

To offer students a fun, safe, and challenging program

that helps alleviate stress and improves whole-body

fitness.

To ensure that Move™ is for every “body,” from

the beginner yogi to the professional athlete.

To dedicate relentlessly to our students and our craft

through consistent improvements in all aspects of

Move™ products and services.

To empower and support a new class of

highly trained, skilled, passionate,

and respected instructors.

Energetic and challenging, Move™ blends

the best core-strengthening, muscle-toning, cardio-

working, stress-reducing, clarity-enhancing yoga

postures with functional fitness exercises and HiiT

for an amazing workout.

Geared for guys, but open to all.

You’ll get that pumped-up feeling you get

from working out and a deep flexibility

and relaxation feeling from “working in.”

47 million men

the big picture20 million yoga students

practice in the U.S. today.

85% are women.

So why ?

Public health data has long indicated that men,

compared to women, are more likely to be overweight,

more likely to develop diabetes, more likely to die

from cancer, and tend to die younger.

While it is well known and scientifically established

that yoga provides all practitioners with an array of

physical and psychological health benefits that can

significantly mitigate health risks, stigma in the male

market has long labeled yoga as a female endeavor.

In our opinion, this is due mostly to the industry’s

failure to develop classes that take into account

inherent male physiology and social conditioning,

and a failure to specifically target men in marketing

and communications around yoga’s benefits.

According to a 2012 IBIS market report, yoga is one of

the fastest growing health and fitness industries in the

U.S. While growth on the female side of the market is

steady, the real opportunity for large-scale growth is

in yoga for men, as yet a relatively untapped market.

licensing and support

Upon successful completion of the Move™ Instructor

Training course and final exam, you’ll be asked to sign

a simple trademark licensing agreement. This just

confirms that you have completed all the requirements

to legally teach Move™ classes.

The license is good for one year unless you subscribe

to the online portal for instructors, called Broga

Resources Online, or “the BRO”, in which case

your license remains active for as long as you’re a

subscriber.

The BRO contains a vast library of upskill tutorial

videos, music playlists, marketing collateral and access

to our partner deals with Reekok, YogaTrail, VistaPrint

and others. Most Move™ Training graduates subscribe

to the BRO and we highly recommend it.

It costs $24.95/mo, but we offer numerous deals,

promos and discounts, so most pay much less.

“I would highly recommend Broga and the training. It is basic and a good approach for men. The Broga team is generous and seem genuinely interested in helping men be healthy and not just promoting a new yoga franchise.”

recent press coverage

classes

Move™ is not just yoga, nor is it simply group functional

fitness. The beginner and intermediate-level classes blend

simple, accessible yoga sequences with heart-rate-spiking

high-intensity interval exercises not found in other branded

yoga programs. This combination delivers significant results

that go well beyond the benefits of a typical yoga class and

create a high level of camaraderie and retention. Women are

welcome and many participate as students and instructors.

Classes are energetic, accessible, strong, challenging,

rewarding, and safe. They provide students with classic yoga

benefits:

• stress-reduction

• improved muscle recovery from other workouts

• improved flexibility/injury prevention

• increased lung capacity

• improved circulation

• improved balance and stability

and Move™-specific benefits (not found

in other yoga-based programs):

• improved cardio-vascular fitness

(utilizing HIIT principles)

• increased core strength

• increased upper-body strength

• increased leg strength

We achieve these results with our distinct blend of yoga and

body weight based functional fitness movements, cues that

are appropriate for a non-Sanskrit speaking group, a carefully

engineered soundtrack, recommended modifications for

different body types, and a distinctly masculine vibe.

what students say

“The 10 a.m. class was great. If I can get a bit personal, I

suffer on and off with anxiety (coupled with palpitations),

and this has not been a good week for me. By the end

of class, they were gone, and I’m still feeling great. I’m a

convert and I’ll be back! Thanks!”

- Lou, 69 years old (has now been to over 200 classes)

“Great class! Really well thought out, with a good pace

from start to finish. Love the strengthening poses and

active core work!”

- Marc, 40 years old

“Broga® has made a remarkable change in my health

both mental and physical... I need the stretching and

strength to keep going at work...”

- Billy, 54 years old

“Broga® creates the perfect balance between the

physical workout I need, and the meditative

relaxation I crave.”

- Ian, 22 years old (has now become a Broga® instructor)

“Back in March I saw an advertisement for Broga®.

I started reading up on it and liked what I read. However,

I was still apprehensive. I’m 37, and over the past few

years I have gained weight. Due to a sedentary lifestyle,

stressful job, and poor habits, I’m out of shape. I know it,

own it, and am working on it.”

- Mo, 37 years old (has now been to over 200 Broga®

classes and has lost 47lbs with the practice!)

where we’ve come from

October 2007

Robert and Adam chat at a BBQ on

Martha’s Vineyard. Adam suggested

that Rob start teaching a yoga class for

men and call it “Broga.” Surprised by

the coincidence, Rob told Adam that

another friend of his had suggested the

same thing to him earlier that month.

January 2009

Robert began teaching a class on

Martha’s Vineyard called “Broga.” This

eventually led to two weekly classes

for a group of dedicated “Brogis.”

February 2010

Upon finishing school, Adam called

Rob to see if he had started teaching

Broga®. A series of long conversations

followed as Adam and Rob discussed

the possibility of working together,

developing the concept, and

building a company.

April 2010

Rob and Adam formed a partnership

with the concise goal of “bringing

more men to the mat.”

April 2011

A Broga® class was launched in

Somerville (just outside of Boston).

Fall 2011

A second class was introduced

in Somerville.

Winter 2011/2012

Broga® began getting press

recognition in major media outlets

around the world, eventually getting

featured or mentioned in Men’s Health,

The Huffington Post, Men’s Journal,

BBC, National Public Ra- dio, Yahoo!

Health Blog,Times of India, Boston

Globe, Boston Magazine, MSNBC Today

Show Health Blog, Details Magazine,

Shape Magazine, Time, Hindustan

Times, and many others.

Spring 2012

Additional Broga® classes were

introduced in Somerville and

Martha’s Vineyard.

Summer 2012

Broga® LLC began training and

licensing new Broga® teachers.

Fall 2014

Over 150 Broga® instructors across

the U.S. and Canada trained.

and who we are

Adam O’Neill President & Co-Founder

Adam brings a breadth of business experience to his role as the President of

Broga® LLC, where he oversees business development, marketing, design, public

relations, web development, merchandising, and licensee communications. Having

grown up in a “yoga household,” Adam spent much of his very active, athletic life

wondering why yoga wasn’t offered in schools as part of sports training and why/

how it had been branded as a lifestyle “for chicks.” In spite of the recommendations

of his yoga-teaching Mom, he never embraced the practice until his mid- twenties,

when he developed a debilitating case of sciatica that put him in physical therapy

for six months. It was during his recovery that Adam started thinking about how

yoga could be better marketed to appeal to other men who knew about the

benefits, but weren’t compelled to attend classes.

Adam has a B.S. in Environmental Economics & Entrepreneurship from the

University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He lives in Winthrop, Massachusetts

with his wife, Anya.

“I’m rebuilding after recovering from Stage 4 throat cancer & chemo (aug 2010), radiation (nov 2010) & surgery (4 2011). I’m 64, active (hiking, rowing) but in need of stretching. Past running injuries have left me with a weak left side and balance issues...been

cleared by doc. Can you help?”

“Congrats on such a great idea! Now I’m trying to find group classes for my

husband in NYC, do you have any? Many thanks.”

Mike, Syracuse NY

Rowan, Cleveland OH

“I just did my second ever yoga class yesterday. I run, and lift and am in relatively good shape, but yoga kicks my butt. I do agree that yoga is traditionally a women’s gig, but I am interested in more info on Broga and whether or not you are

looking to expand the brand name to other areas. Please let me know. Thank you.

“I am interested in Broga. I am quite sure there is no Broga in Syracuse NY, however if there was an interest in expanding I would be very interested

in starting a Broga campaign in my area.”

“I’ve been teaching yoga for 21 years; I’m currently teaching for the Cleveland Indians Baseball Organization. Classes are going very well and the players are really getting it - but I’m always open to expanding my skills... Would enjoy hearing from you and good luck with

all your programs!“I own [a fitness] company in the Woodlands, TX. My background is Physical Therapy and have moved back into the Personal Training arena with a Corrective Exercise Specialist as my intent. The local market is prime for a program of this sort

and my wife and I are very interested.”

“Hello, Do you have any plans in bringing Broga to bay area

especially in and around of Fremon in East Bay, CA. I really very much

interested into it. Thank you.”

Deepak, Oakland CA

“Hey guys, How can we get Broga in Los Angeles?!”

David, Los Angeles CA

“How can one become certified in this? I teach in Medford, Oregon and

have quite a few men who come to my classes and would be interested in a

yoga for them.”

Jocelyn, Medford OR

Tom, Seattle WA

“Good afternoon, Interested in speaking with you about your program. I am located in the Seattle

WA area. Please contact me at the e-mail address above.”

“Hi! I am opening a new yoga studio in San Diego, California and as I was discussing this with my father in law from Scituate, MA, he

told me about how big Broga is becoming in Boston. I would love the opportunity to learn more about it, such as class format, and see

if we could possibly send someone out to get certified in Broga to offer it in our studio.”
