(c) For any reason other than the above, the Show Secretary shall transfer it to the Open Class for the correct colour, sex, weight or height.

18. Dogs in Cars on Hot Days Your dog is vulnerable and at risk during hot weather and the Kennel Club Limited offers the following guidance to help guide you through the do's and don'ts travelling to and whilst at KC licensed events.

• When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy holiday route, and leave earlier to avoid increased time in traffic jams.

• If your vehicle is not air-conditioned seriously consider whether travelling to the show is a good idea at all.

• The vehicle should be as fully ventilated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken, with lots of water available to drink.

• Ensure your dog is not sitting in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog.

• When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle. • Keep the dog in the shade – take your own shade for example a large umbrella

and always have plenty of water available to drink so your dog stays well hydrated.

• Avoid your dog taking part in unnecessary exertion or from standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths of time. Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much hotter and dehydrated, and this could lead to dire results. Please look after your dog's welfare.

Please take care of your dog. If your dog is found to be at risk forcible entry to your vehicle may be necessary

without liability for any damage caused. Anyone whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club Limited licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not put a dog's health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise. Breach of Kennel Club Limited Regulations in this respect may be referred to the General Committee tor disciplinary action under Kennel Club Limited Rules and Regulations. Right to Refuse Entries. Exhibitors/Competitors are reminded that show societies have the right under Kennel Club Limited Regulation to refuse any entry

19. Not for competition entries will be accepted. Details of each dog so entered must be recorded on the entry form and must be Kennel Club Registered.

20. The Society cannot hold itself responsible for accidents to exhibitors, Exhibits or Members of the Public and it is on this understanding that entries are accepted.

21. The Committee is empowered to exclude or remove any dog which is not in a fit state for exhibition, from disease, vice, natural or other causes and if such exclusion takes place either before or after the dog is judged, the entry fee will be forfeited.

Page 8: Founded in 1985 Schedule of 18 Class Single Breed ......Founded in 1985 Schedule of 18 Class Single Breed Unbenched 10th Championship Show To be held under Kennel Club Limited Rules

22. DOG FOULING & GROOMING WASTE Any owner, exhibitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog is required to remove as soon as possible any fouling and grooming waste caused by their dog(s) at any Kennel Club Limited licensed event and within the environs of that event including Car and Caravan Parks and approaches. Any organisation holding a Kennel Club Limited Licensed event is required to provide an adequate number of receptacles for the disposal of such fouling.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR KC LICENSED EVENTS As with all sports, the Kennel Club Limited expect exhibitors to conduct themselves in a responsible manner and to ensure that their dogs are properly taken care of throughout the period of the show and do not become a nuisance to other exhibits or to visitors at the show. Below are guidelines which the Kennel Club Limited would expect to be followed. These are not exclusive and should be read in conjunction with the show regulations as listed in the Kennel Club Limited Year Book. The welfare of all dogs is of paramount importance. Exhibits should not be left

unattended on benches, in cages or crates for lengthy periods without proper exercise and care.

Dogs must not be left in vehicles on warm or hot days. Dogs with aggressive tendencies must not be exhibited. Sparring between two dogs in the ring is not allowed. Dogs are not permitted to wear muzzles of any kind whilst being judged. Attraction of a dog from outside the ring is not permitted in the UK. Exhibitors must ensure that they clean up after their dog if their dog fouls in a

public place. The mating of dogs within the precincts of the show is not permitted. Any verbal communication with a judge should take place after judging has taken

place and must be conducted in a polite and professional manner. Abusive or aggressive behaviour towards the judge or other exhibitors will not be

tolerated under any circumstances. Exhibitors must not wear any type of identification of themselves or their dogs

whilst exhibiting their dogs. Smoking in the ring is not permitted. Mobile phones should be turned off whilst exhibiting your dog. It is important to remember that any breaches of Kennel Club Limited Regulations

may result in the Kennel Club Limited taking remedial action against the exhibitor and/or dog.
