“My name is Alivia. My favorite thing about the Club is all the different activities that are available! I got to attend the Great Girls Wonderful Women luncheon last year. I even talked to a reporter and a radio program director! The reporter came to talk to us at the Club about careers in media a few weeks later. I have friends at the Club and friends who don’t come to the Club – I think others should try the Club. Thank you for donating money because this place is really fun and I love to come here every day.”Alivia, Club kid

INSPIRING STORIES

“I have very fond memories of Columbus

Youth Camp as a kid. Blair Kiel was my

counsellor and he helped me develop a

love for the outdoors and nature. In turn,

I became a summer counsellor during my

college days. I am honored to be able to

give back to this amazing organization both

as a board member and donor.”

In June, we plan to expand and enhance our outdoor playing space on the northeast side of the Boys & Girls Club. Through the generosity of Karen and Jeff Jones and family, we will be adding a new basketball court with four goals, 2 heights for all ages.

We will also be adding a couple new trees underneath the existing ones and an art mural in the far northeast corner to create a space for our youth to get lost, use their imagination, read and explore. There are two more phases of the project. Phase two is set to begin Fall 2016 and phase 3 by the end of 2017.
