FosterClub is now accepting nominations for our annual recognition program, 100 Outstanding Young Leaders. Our mission is to recognize the success and achievements of young people who have experienced foster care.

Nominate yourself or someone you know! All 16-24 years old youth who experienced foster care in the United States are eligible. We’re looking for young leaders who are engaged in local, state, or national community service or advocacy. Youth panels, advisory committees, conferences, and volunteer work are all types of activities that deserve to be recognized.

Nominations are open until November 21st, 2014. Winners will be selected and announced on December 31, 2014.

WRITERSUsing your skills as a writer, you will showcase the resilience spirits of young people who have overcome challenges in order to give back to their communities. You will work with a youth to create a brief youth biography highlighting their story of resilience and inspiration. You will then create a press release for news outlets in the community youth reside in. Your actions will build support for each young leader and support for the movement.

You can showcase to your friends your role in supporting the 2013 Outstanding Young Leaders with the poster you will receive.

NOMINATION REVIEWERSYou will channel your attention to detail and interest in supporting young leaders into reviewing Outstanding Young Leader nominations. You will know the incredible stories of these young leaders and you will be part of a team that will have the difficult job of selecting only 100 youth for 2013.
