School Age CentersSummer Camp Program

The SAC summer camp program is a nine week program, beginning June 1st

and ending July 31st.To attend summer camp you must be registered with CYSS and complete an

orientation. Orientations are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:30am at each site. Reservations are required for orientations.

Hours of operation: 5:30am to 6:00pm Monday-FridayDaily camps are offered to include the following: Art, Sports, Science, Drama,

Music, Media, Cooking, and GardeningField trips are offered throughout the week and sign ups are on Mondays at

10:00am. Children sign themselves up for field trips. Daily programming plans are facilitated throughout the day

All activities are child driven

Middle School and Teen (MST) Summer Camp

Middle School and Teen will be conducting a Summer Camp Program for 9 weeks starting June 2, 2015 through August 31, 2015

• Location: Taylor Youth Center, Bldg 80 Texas Ave

• Hours of Operation: Mon-Thurs: 630am-7pm Fri: 630am-10pm Sat: 1pm-7pm• Cost: Youth attending camp before 12noon will be charged a weekly camp rate based on their household

income. Free!!! for those youth that attend camp after 12noon(Specialty Camps will be offered in the morning from 830-1130am. All youth attending before 12noon must be enrolled in a Specialty Camp to include: Dance, Technology, Outdoor Adventure, Sports, Bowling, Horseback Riding, cooking, Arts & Crafts, etc….)• Registration: Registration for MST Summer Camp will open May 4, 2015. All youth must be registered

with Child Youth and School Services (CYSS) and have had a Summer Orientation with MST program in order to start Summer Camp. Orientations begin May 4, 2015 and are from 9am-2pm Mon-Fri. After June 1, 2015 orientations will only be on Tues-Thurs 9am-11am

MST Summer Camp Calendars will be ready for distribution on May 4, 2015 and can be picked up at Taylor Youth Center. Calendars will also be available for viewing on the MWR website and the CYSS

Women’s Health FairMay 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the hospital's Nutrition Care Classroom, located within the Dining Facility. Subject matter experts will host information tables and share suggestions for routine screenings according to age. Women can receive blood pressure and glucose level screens during the event.

Mass Casualty Training ExerciseA training exercise will take place on May 12 at the hospital to test the response procedures to a mass casualty event. The exercise is part of annual training to ensure our staff is fully prepared to provide adequate care during any scenario. Patient care and service will not be impacted.

TRICARE UpdateThere has been a recent increase in scams against TRICARE beneficiaries. Scammers have been calling beneficiaries at home and asking for their Social Security Number. TRICARE will never call and ask for a beneficiaries’ SSN, they will only ask for a DOD ID number or the last four of a SSN. Please visit www.tricare.mil/Fraud to report any incidents.

Red Cross Summer Youth ProgramThe Red Cross Summer Youth Program is accepting volunteer applications. Students must be at least 15 years of age and be a military ID holder to volunteer. Students are able to volunteer in numerous places within the hospital, museum and the animal shelter. If you are interested, please call the Red Cross at 270-798-2171.
