Fort Benning’s Sustainable (LEED) Showcase

At No Cost To Fort Benning Manufacturers/vendors installed furniture, flooring, wall covering and other “green” products exhibiting the quality, durability and overall sustainability of their products; the displaying of these LEED point products assisted contractors in achieving the Army’s mandated LEED Silver Standard for both NC New Construction and EB Existing Building. Visitors had the opportunity to experience, first-hand, sustainable products that are commonly used in building interiors and exteriors, obtain product data that will satisfy the multiple vendors bidding process, support Green Procurement Program requirements, and streamline the actual process for the purchasing of LEED point products.
