The soundtrack was almost all instrumentalsGone Girl This is similar to our film – instrumentals help build tension and is
sometimes more effective than vocals because there are no voices to give away what is going to happen in the scene
Vengeance In our film we used instrumental music as well as a dark, demonic choir as well.

Gone Girl and Perfect Stranger Costume – like both films we decided to use normal/everyday clothing to help the events appear more natural. Although we did consider colours to make it more obvious who the antagonists were due to limited screen timeProps – in our film we didn’t use many props except the pictures of the girls and our phones this is like the Perfect Stranger she used while carrying out investigations. Female main character- Both films like Vengeance have female leads who are appeared to be victimised
Gone Girl – The main female initially appears to be the Protagonist as she tells the story of being abused by her husband but she was the true antagonist.
Perfect Stranger – In this film the female lead also appeared to be the Protagonist while looking for her friends killer because she was also being watched by another .
Flashbacks - both films use flashbacks - Gone Girl- in gone girl they use the flashbacks to confuse the viewers. - Vengeance- In our film we used it for the viewers to be able to get some insight into why
Mika is plotting her revenge on Jonathan and Lisa, it also allows the story to expand in its early minutes to allow the viewers to understand more since there was a time limit.
NARRATIVE

When we created our film, our film sort of challenged the horror genre when it was meant to be a complete
psychological genre, this was because the dark, low key setting and dark music that created a creepy atmosphere
for the viewers probably made the viewers suggest it to be in the horror genre. However, at the beginning, when Mika was looking into the mirror, the voice of Jonathan echoing in the background gave the effect of the film being a being a psychological thriller and not a horror thriller, another example of our film being a psychological thriller is the
third scene where it becomes a flashback of Mika remembering the even of her being attacked by Jonathan.
