FORmING TeCHNOLOGY STAFF TRAINING PROGRAmS.SemINAR ANd TRAINING PROGRAm 2018.

Welcome to the Forming Academy and our new Training & Convention Center in the Schuler Innovation Tower in Göppingen.

Qualified and motivated employees are a decisive key to success in forming technology. Our extended training programs will open up further perspectives for you. Starting in 2018 all seminars will take place in the new Schuler Innovation Tower in Göppingen. There we provide optimal conditions for intensive studies and sustainable results. Come and visit us on site. We are looking forward to meeting you.

Our portfolio of qualification measures encompasses basic seminars, practical training and technology seminars. We have the fitting training solution for every person working in forming technology. Our new basic seminar which provides an overview over forming systems and manufacturing processes is ideal for newcomers or non-technicians.

We will gladly visit you on site and draw up a personal training strategy together with you. We are looking forward to meeting you or seeing you again during one of our seminars.

The new Schuler Innovation Tower in Göppingen. Starting in 2018 all Forming Academy seminars will be held in the Training & Convention Center located on the twelfth floor.

GOALTo us eccentricity is the winning formula. This formula can always be further refined. Each press operates only as well as the user knows how to operate it. Often unused potentials are wasted. With time this happens at the expense of productivity and company profit. Well trained employees know exactly how to operate each type of press to its best performance.

In this seminar you will gain basic knowledge of the different mechanical presses in the press plants. Staff without any prior knowledge or just a little knowledge will learn the necessary principles and can build on any previous knowledge.

CONTeNT Basic knowledge of working with mechanical presses Differences between various press types and

components General design of mechanical presses Comparisons of drive concepts for eccentric drive,

link drive, servo drive Comparison of components of mechanical presses,

coupling/brake combination, slide with pressure point, locking, assembly units Impacts of forming on the press (bending, off centre

load) and analysis approaches Technology Update

AUdIeNCe Operators mechanical maintenance Electrical maintenance Setters Die makers Planers/Optimizers

HOT STAMPING TODAY AND TOMORROW.TECHNOLOGY-UPDATE FOR DECISION MAKERS.

GOALThe cars of the next generation are not only lighter, they are also safer and more ecological. The combination of numerous processes and different materials in lightweight automotive construction leads to the desired results. The hot stamping technology opens new perspectives. This technology makes it possible to reach a higher level of body rigidity which results in improved crash behaviour. Of particular interest is the higher strength of the components while the component weight is reduced. The participants receive an overview over the basics, the benefits and the framework conditions of hot stamping. They will then be able to evaluate hot stamping systems economically and can make a selection based on sound knowledge.

CONTeNT Technology overview hot stamping, process, material,

products Basic knowledge for beginners Framework for market entry Profitability calculations Safe selection of equipment technology and system

solutions Visit of the Hot Stamping TechCenter in Göppingen and

tour of the hydraulic press, roller-hearth furnace and automation

TRAINeRJens Aspacher

GOALWith hot stamping high-strength safety- and structural parts are produced by heating and forming with hydraulic presses and quick, controlled cooling in the die. The hot stamping technology enables higher rigidity with reduced part weight, higher body rigidity and improved crash behaviour. This paves the road for new possibilities in part design and the repeatability without spring-back is very high.

The participants get to know the basics of hot stamping and find out which metallurgical processes determine this technology by means of sound training manuals. They receive a practical and comprehensive overview over the required line components and the required die technology.
