9 Organisational Chart
Principal is the academic and administrative head of the college, assisted by
Vice Principals, Heads of Departments and Registrar.
10.10 Student feedback mechanism on Institutional Governance/faculty performance
The Student Council is the main channel for feedback on Governance. There is a
formal procedure, forming an integral part of students’ performance evaluation of
faculty. Formal feedback is also sought from alumni and industry. Informally,
feedback is also taken from professional bodies, professionals and other agencies
through interactive roles.
10.11 Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students
As per the University guidelines, the college has a Women Development Cell (WDC),
formed to look after women (female staff and students) grievances, if any. WDC often
organizes programmes for the benefit of women. A Grievance Committee also exists
in the college to look after the grievances of staff members and to address them.
Local Managing Committee also takes care of staff and students grievances. Unfair
means committee appointed by the Principal independently enquires any unfair
6

practices followed by the employees and the students and reports the finding of the
enquiry to the Principal. Students’ Council of the college also plays a vital role in this
direction. Many of the grievance related issues are sorted out at the desks of heads of
the departments / Principal. Any other major grievances that cannot be sorted out
through any of the above committees/mechanisms are referred to the top
management for appropriate follow up and advise. This year we have celebrated
women’s day on 12th March, 2017. All the teaching and non-teaching staff were
invited. Dr. Lata Joshi, Doctor & Nutritionist was invited to guide all the ladies staff
how to take care of our health in the busy schedule of our life.

students, after completing graduation from DJSCE, have opted for higher education
and have excelled in their chosen career path.
Looking at the trend of students pursuing higher education after undergraduate
studies, the college has come up with a counseling centre in 2008. This counseling centre, managed by faculty offers guidance to the students opting for higher
education in the following areas:
- Helps students to decide the stream of specialization, Institute/ university
selection, application procedure etc.
- Motivates and encourages students to pursue research work, paper publication
and participation in seminars and conferences.
- Provides guidance and orientation in selecting electives prescribed under
graduate curriculum.
- Provides help in deciding on the final year projects with specific focus on their
area of specialisation.
- Offers continuous interaction with students, organise guest lectures/ sessions by alumina and experts from the industry and related fields of higher education.
- Grooms the students to face the global challenges / competitions while securing
