Informal to formal means moving from the kind ofspeech we would use when talking with friendscolloquial, Jargon, poetic. Less than informal=

Vulgar.I can’t go there because I got sick, I probably

FORMAL Means sophisticated writing or speaking you use at your job, meetings, academic writing, cultural, business.

need to visit the doctor.’
