St. Andrew Fiesta 2013stronger relationships as we walk together the path of evangelization. After the Mass, there was exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, while a Kumpisalang Bayan was held inside the church.

Day 2 of the Novena Mass was graced by Rev. Fr. Victor Y. Apacible, parish priest of the National Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He asked the people of SAAP: Do we live in a loving community? It is on this note that Fr. Vic taught us that the Sacrament of Confession is actually a celebration of God’s love, for it is after confessing our sins and asking for forgiveness that God rejoices and throws a party for us, His prodigal children, his lost sheep. When we fall into sin, we can stand up again and be on the road towards perfection. Fr. Vic also shared with us an article by Pope Francis. It is about PST, 3 simple words, very elementary in meaning, and yet becomes strange and unfamiliar words for adults. These are PLEASE, SORRY and THANK YOU. These will help us maintain and restore our relationships to be able to build a loving community. Before the mass ended, Fr. Vic challenged us to re-dedicate the use of our mobile phones. No more hate messages, obscene materials, useless information and junk, but instead, use it to spread love, care, the Good News of the Lord. We were asked also to dedicate and re-dedicate our lives to Jesus Christ.

May these lessons we learned from the first 2 Novena masses be our first steps toward the path to become Animated, Novel Disciples for Renewal, Evangelization and Works of charity, and then, we can finally declare with conviction...I am ANDREW!
