Here are some types of forests,The rainforest, the temperate

decidous forest, the temperate carniferous forest, and the boreal taiga forest. The forests are all different with different climates, different animals, and different plants.

In the tropical rainforest there are giant growing trees which makes it ideal for animals like birds, bats, monkeys, and snakes. I was once in a forest where there were things like cougars, bears, slugs, and skunk. In the temperate decidous forest there are animals like the red fox, hawks, woodpeckers, and cardinals. In the temperate carniferous forest there are animals like the deer, marmot, elk, black bear, salmon and spotted owls. spotted owl

In the tropical rainforest there are plants like, the trees they grow from 82 -115 feet tall, ferns, vines, mosses, palms, and orchids. In the temperate decidous forest there are plants like, mosses, ferns, pines, and firs. In the temperate carniforous forest there are plants like, cedar, cypress, douglas fir, pine spruce, and redwood. In the boreal taiga forest there are plants like, spruce, fir, and pine.

human interference/threats!

The biggest threat in the tropical rain forest is the forestry practices. Other threats are road construction, and climate change. In the temperate decidous forest there are threats like acid rain, forestry, strip mining, and climate change. The threats in the temperate carniforous forest are forestry and road construction. The threats in the boreal taiga forest include forestry, climate change, and oil/gas drilling.We should stop destroying the beautiful forests and the amazing animals with in it.

In the rain forest there are endangered animals like the, golden lion tamarind monkey, toucans, parrots, jaguar, gorilla, poison dart frog, manatee, bengal tiger, chimpanzee, harpy eagle, orangutan, jaguars, hyacinth macaw, and the three toed sloth.

Extreme Conditions

The extreme conditions of the tropical rainforest is the 100inches of rain each year. The extreme conditions of the temperate decidous forest is the 30-60 inches of snow each year. The extreme conditions of the temperate carniforous forest is the 50-200 inches of rain each year. The extreme conditions of the boreal taiga forest is the harsh cold winters.

Animal adaptations

Here is the adaptations of the tropical rain forest: eating something no other animal would eat, the toucan adapted by getting a long, large beak, camaflouge. The adaptations in the decidous forest are: migration, hibernation, food storage. The animal adaptations in the taiga forest are: migrating, hibernating, lots of feathers of fur.
