We must also recognize that “thinking about the future” is much more than mere “wishful thinking”. We are not going to ask you to do blue sky activities where you dream of what you would do if you hit the lottery – or had a CEO who gave your division a billion dollars. We admit there is value in creating a compelling vision of a future that you want to see happen– but we should not confuse applying thinking about the future inside the business world – as whimsical wishful thinking.
