Product FamilyThe Enabler is a forecourt solution product family built on modern software and hardware standards. The product is a combination of industry specific hardware that fits into a standard PC and software developed using international standards.

HardwareThe core is a PCI/PCI Express card that supports four standard forecourt channels, one IFSF channel and fits into standard PCs and modern POS devices. There is also a fully self-contained Embedded hardware platform.

A selection of interface cards (FDMs for PCI/PCI Express, PDMs for Embedded) for manufacturer specific pumps (e.g. Gilbarco) are part of the family. The Enabler supports a wide and growing range of international and country specific pump and device types.

Supporting ApplicationsThe Enabler system site software licence includes a number of applications to manage the fuel specific issues. These pre built applications access the data stored in the Enabler database and simplify a number of industry specific tasks. All data is stored and accessible in real time. The applications (web based in V4) are:

Site Operations The Managers Applications provide a Site Manager with the ability to change key day to day elements of the system as well as the ability to view, filter and print key delivery data from the system.

ConfigurationThe Configuration Application provides convenient set up for Enabler, with all functions grouped logically together.

Wetstock MaintenanceWetstock Maintenance provides the ability to process tanker deliveries, tank dips, pump tote reconciliation as well as automatic tank gauge reporting.

Developers Kit ExtrasThe following applications are included in the Developers Kit for integrators:

• Demonstration POS Provides simple POS simulation with source code in C#, Java, Visual Basic, Visual Fox Pro, Visual C++ and Delphi.

• Multi Pump Simulator Provides PC based multi pump and multi hose simulation for development and testing.

• Resource CD With detailed Product and Development documentation. Full 24/7 access to the extensive resources on the ITL web site.

The result is a self-contained environment for communicating with many different types of pumps, supporting multiple pump types simultaneously.

IntegrationDesigned for ease of integration into modern POS systems – little more than one to two person weeks of development effort is typically required. Pump control user interface is pre built and requires no development by the integrator. The integrator works with a stable, internationally proven component to produce a highly effective solution.

Client InterfaceYour POS system integrates with the Enabler at the client level using our traditional ActiveX interface (for compatibility with existing systems) or our new multi platform version 4 API.

This approach removes the complexity of integration by providing a ready built User Interface which the developer can place on their own application form and immediately have working forecourt control. Real time access is gained to forecourt status, deliveries and other events.

The Client access is multi user allowing more than one application (e.g. Multi POS) to share the same forecourt without the usual design complexities of multiple POS terminals.

ANSI SQL DatabaseAll data is stored in a documented SQL database format making it easy to work with using standard tools. All data is generated in real time so other applications can rely on accurate and up to date data.

Client/Server ArchitectureEnabler is designed as a multi client/server system. Application developers only have to integrate to the Enabler client and do not have to worry about multiple client applications using the system as Enabler manages all aspects of its client/server environment.
