• The Athens center of excellence collaborates with all Accenture centers of excellence around the world (e.g. India, Barcelona, Shanghai, Warsaw, US, etc) in terms of joint project execution, research, knowledge transfer and capability development. Further, through the Accenture – MIT alliance it adopts and endeavors all latest marketing developments

• Further, Athens uses and develops customized tools tailored to each client’s needs.

• The key characteristics of the center are:

• It is software agnostic (it uses all major statistical and econometrics packages, e.g. SAS, R, Matlab, Ox professional, Eviews, e.t.c.) for data analysis. Moreover, low level programming languages are also frequently employed for speed purposes

• There is flexibility to support any

market and geographical location needed

• The Athens center is the global analytics center for Accenture and acts as the center for research and innovation introducing and implementing new techniques in customer analytics.

• All staff in Athens, currently 90 individuals, hold at least a Masters degree in numerate disciples (predominantly statistics / econometrics). On top of that 1/3 of the staff holds a Doctorate degree in quantitative sciences.

• The team’s functional experience spans across the following domains: Marketing Mix, Price and Promotions optimization, customer segmentation, cross sell / upsell, next best action, among others

• The above experience spans also across multiple industries: FMCG, Telecommunications, Products, Retail, Banking, etc.
