Monk is horned and commands great presence amongst the cows at Forde Abbey.

His great grandsire is Forde Abbey Commodore, who scored EX92. He is believed to be one of the best bulls in the breed.

Monk shows great breed character and correctness with great width to his top line.

Paternal grandsire, Nimrod, sired the Breed Champion/Reserve Supreme Native Breed Champion 2013 at the Three Counties Show. Another son, Bollowal Barrastor was awarded Devon Breed Champion at Royal Cornwall 2013 and 2014.

Forde Abbey Monk was awarded reserve male champion at Devon county as a yearling in 2013.
