NOTES
We recommend brake lines be installed by a trained professional as the flared fittings are not provided with torque specs and bleeding procedures are not outlined; careful atten-
tion to both procedures are VITAL to proper brake operation. DO NOT attempt installa-tion if you’re not comfortable bleeding brakes or tightening the brake line fittings.

Front Brake Line Instructions

1. FIGURE 1 - Separate the ABS lines from the factory brake lines by pulling apart (including the press fitting on the brake line bracket) and, using a 10mm socket, remove the bolt securing the factory brake line bracket to the front of the coil bucket (A). 2. Disconnect the vacuum line from the factory brake line bracket. (B) 3. Using a 15mm socket, remove the banjo bolt at the caliper 4. Place a copper washer on each side of the Carli brake line and secure the line to the caliper ensuring the Carli line follows factory routing of the line it replaced. 5. With the caliper end secured, use a 13mm line wrench to loosen the hardline fitting at the frame. 6. FIGURE 2 - Once unthreaded, pull the factory clip that re-tains the factory line to the bracket and remove the factory brake line. 7. Install the Carli line (ensuring it’s not twisted) into the facto-ry bracket and begin threading the factory hardline fitting into the Carli line. A set of adjustable channel-lock pliers will hold the Carli brake line in place while the hard line is secured to it. 8. FIGURE 3 - While tightening the brake line, ensure the brake line is indexed to loop forward against the frame rail, NOT looping out toward the tire! 9. With the brake lines properly indexed against the frame, in-sert the provided clip to secure the Carli Brake Line to the factory bracket, locking in its position. 10. Front vacuum lines, ABS lines and diff vent will be routed with the new brake lines and re-secured to the axle later in the KIT instruction. 11. If you’re installing a 2.5” System with front brake lines only, bleed the brakes and move onto the next step in the kit instruc-tion. For 4.5” Kits with front and rear brake lines, do not bleed the brakes, yet. Continue to the next page in this instruction.
Rear Brake Line Instructions

1. 2017 ONLY- Clamp brake line into a bench vise and insert the male end of the provided thread-adapter into the upper end of the brake line and tighten using a 9/16” wrench. 2018+ Will not require this adapter.
2. FIGURE 4 - Separate the ABS lines & Axle Vent Tube from the factory brake lines by pulling apart. 3. Using a 13mm line wrench, undo the hard line fitting from the factory brake lines on the upper bracket and separate. We recommend doing these one at a time and work-ing quickly to minimize loss of brake fluid. 4. Pull the clips holding the factory brake lines to the bracket and let the factory lines hang (for now) from the lower mount. 5. Insert Carli Brake lines into the factory upper brackets and hold them with an ad-justable channel-lock plier while using the 13mm line wrench to secure the factory hard line fitting to the Carli line (female end of the adapter on the 2017). 6. Once tight, move onto the lower (the clips will be inserted to fix the brake line once they’re indexed) 7. Using the 13mm Line wrench, remove the hardline fittings from the factory brake lines on the axle bracket and separate. 8. Remove the factory clips, then remove and discard the factory brake lines. 9. The Carli Brakelines have 2 flat-spots/indexes to ensure they fit the 2017 and 2018+ axle brackets (Figure - 6). Insert Carli lines into the lower bracket so that the threaded portion of the lines face Driver and Passenger sides respectively; this will indi-cate the proper index has been utilized (threaded portion of the lower brake lines should NOT face up or down). Once installed, use a 13mm line wrench to tighten the hardline fittings to the Carli Lines. 10. Secure the brake lines to the axle bracket with the provided clips. 11. FIGURE 7 - Check the brake line routing; if the lines aren't resting toward the in-side (Away from the frame rail), break the upper fittings loose and rotate the line until its natural position rests toward the center to the truck and tighten. Once the routing is set, tighten all fittings and use the provided clips to lock the orientation. 12. FIGURE 8 - Use zip-ties to reconnect all brake lines, ABS lines and the axle vent tube ensuring sufficient slack is now pre-sent. 13. Bleed the brakes and continue to the next step in the instal-lation instructions.
