Lets get to the significant facts about this guy. Dalton James PatrickMcGuinty Junior, MP P (born July 19 t h, 1955 in Ottawa, Ontario) is aCA N A D I A N lawyer and politician and, since October 23 r d, 2003, has been PR E M I E R ofT H EP RO VINCE O F ONTARIO . He has been aME M B E R O F PRO VINCIAL PA R L I A M E N T(MPP ) forOT T A W A SO U T H since 1990. McGuinty has been known to hold lib-eral views on many social issues, such as abortion rights, marriage for samesex couples, and, obviously, extreme views regarding environmental protection.

The bottom line is this McGuinty has consistently pandered to minoritygroups and fringe lobbyists. And he sought to curry favour with the EN V I R O N -M E N T A L TE R R O R MO V E M E N T. Under the McGuinty regime, an agency calledThe Ontario Trillium Foundationhas been used as afinancialS H I E L D by theGovernment of Ontario for supplying vast amounts of funds to the ENVIRO N-M E N T A L TE R R O R MO V E M E N T that have conspired to prohibitL E G A L , S A F E , andT O T A L L Y I R R E P L A C E A B LE pest control products.

Because of the McGuinty financing ofE N V I R O N M E N T A L T ERRO R ORG ANI -

Z A T I O N S, and because of his legislating the Cosmetic Pesticides Ban Actin

2008, the PRO FESSIO NAL L AW N CAR E IN D U S T R Y is systematically being T E R -

R O R I Z E D and A N N I H I L A T E D, with the resulting L O S S O F R E V E N U E S , BUSINESSF A I L U R E S, BANKRUPTCIES , UNEMPL O YMENT , leading to D E S P A I R and DESTITU-

T I O N for THOUSANDS of people throughout the GR E E N S P A C E INDUSTRY .

McGuinty may have also believed that the rampant municipal prohibitions re-

garding C O S M E T I C P E S T I C I D E S were taking power away from his provincial re-

gime. Perhaps the municipalities were flexing their political muscles. Any

such largescale legislation would be unacceptable to any provincial govern-

ment. Nonetheless, the reasons given for legislating McGuinty s own Cosmetic

Pesticides Ban Actin 2008 were more palatable when the safety of the public,

and children in particular, was invoked . . .

When there is such widespread concern, why would

we take a chance with our health, and our chil-

drens health, just for the sake of a few dandeli-

ons, or a bit of crabgrass ?

since this is the town that has spawned groups operated byE NVIROMA N I A C Ssuch as the evasive Coalition for a Healthy Ottawa, the rabid studentoperated Sierra Club, and others. Not surprisingly, McGuinty, T H E B I O L O G YP REMIER , must feel right at home dealing with his allies from the ENVIRO N-M E N T A L TERRO R MO V E M E N T, since he is, in fact, aB I O L O G I S T . We kid you not! He studied BIO L O G Y and earned aB.Sc. from McMaster Universityprior to hiscompletion of a second degree in law. (Biologists have traditionallyNO T been

wellinformed about pest control products, but they think they know all thereis to know.) In 1983, McGuinty became a senior partner at the family law firm.

Commentary about McGuinty from an Independent Perspective. Some people claim that they are not surprised that a lawyer with a biology de-gree would have conspired to prohibit L E G A L, S A F E , and TO TAL L Y IRREPL ACE-A B L E pest control products. Moreover, McGuinty was obviously been influenced

by his close friendship with Jean Charest, the Premier of Quebec who had leg-islated his own prohibition, which was finally implemented in 2006.

Here is a sobering statement from Tim Hudak, Member of Provincial Par-

liament, Niagara WestGlanbrook, Province of Ontario.

Dalton McGuinty's superficial approach is more

about grabbing headlines than improving the envi-

ronment. Substances applied to our lawns, food,

parks etc should be subject to strict scientific scru-

tiny such as the tests done by Health Canada and

the World Health Organization. If they don't pass

the science, they shouln't be applied anywhere.

to provide direct funding to organi-

zations in the E N V I R O N M E N T A L

represents one of the great decep-

tive practices of our society. Gov-

ernment money acquired from honest and hardworking people in the G R E E N

S P A C E IN D U S T R Y are refunnelled through O.T.F. to E NVIRO NMENTAL TERRO R

OR G A N I Z A T I O N S that conspired to prohibit L E G A L , SAFE , and T O T A L L Y I R R E -

P L A C E A B L E pest control products.

For example, since 1999, World Wildlife Fund of Canada (W.W.F. )

alone has been provided with almost onequarter of a million dollars by

O.T.F.. Thanks to the generosity ofO.T.F., W.W.F. had the means and/or the

infrastructure to legally challenge the G R E E N SP A C E IN D U S T R Y in the Hud-

sonSupremeCourt affair. As we all know, on June 28 t h, 2001, The Supreme

Court of Canada unfortunately upheld the bylaw enacted by the Town of

Hudson which prohibited the use of pest control products for the P RO FES-

S I O N A L LAW N CA RE INDUSTRY and DO IT YO U R S E L F HO M E O W N E R S. Agricul-

ture and golf clubs were exempted.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation is the largest funder of the environ-mental notforprofit sector in Ontario. Between 2001 and 2006, O.T.F. funded

over 600 environmental projects across Ontario worth more than 47 million

dollars. These grants supported a wide range of communitybased and prov-

incewide initiatives in areas as diverse as public education, the restoration of

However, this positionhas not precluded him from criticizing the industry itself. Nonetheless, his vast knowledge of our long journey

with environmental issues is UNDENIABLE. ( Hopefully ! ) For many years, Mr. Gathercole has been a contribut-
