Today’s professional learning day will begin at 8:30 am at Stockbridge High
School. Upon arrival, please report to your first session. The keynote will follow
session 1 at 9:45 a.m. in the commons area. At this time, I look forward to sharing
more about ways in which we may support you throughout the year and also pro-
vide an overview of this year’s professional learning plan.
During today’s PL, you will have the opportunity to attend two sessions in the
morning and two sessions in the afternoon. Lunch will be from 11:45 –1:00. If
you need directions or lunch suggestions, please see Heather MacKenzie or a sup-
port team member, and they will be happy to help. Most importantly, please sign-in
at each session you attend as sign-in sheets will be collected within the first 10
minutes of each session. On the following page, you will find an overview of the
session/workshop offerings (Session descriptions and locations are included).
Thank you again for taking the time to increase your content and pedagogical
knowledge and have a great day!

Building Fluency through Creative Writing If repetition is the mother of all learning and practice promotes retention, then narrative writing is one of the best tools a World Language teacher has. From Levels 1 through AP, we can incorporate creative writing through the use of pictures. Students not interested in drawing or illustrating? Tired of the same old boring Powerpoints? Join us for a hands-on session for how to use Storybird in your classroom.
