Ministerio Hispano

Scripture and the Tradition of the Catholic Church provide an abundance of wisdom, though it can often be challenging to apply it to our lives. In this study, Jeff Cavins and Thomas Smith examine biblical wisdom as it relates to daily life. Drawing on the wisdom literature of the Bi-ble—Proverbs, Wisdom, Sirach, and Ecclesiastes—Wisdom will teach you how to actively seek out sound guidance and increase your sense of peace in navigating life. In everything from friendships to finances, from making decisions to attaining peace of mind, Scripture of-fers a vision for happiness and wellbeing. With this program, you will learn how to gather, gain, and grow in wisdom, and you will experience the joy it brings to your life.
STUDY BEGINS: Tuesday, January 22, 10:00am in Faith Formation Room
Cost of Workbook $20.

Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) Retreat Weekend Women’s Weekend – February 23rd—24th
What is CRHP? Christ Renews His Parish is a formal process for enriching the spiritual lives of parishioners through Sacred Scripture and parish involvement. It was started in the Catholic Church in 1969 and is practiced throughout the United States and several other countries.
What is the purpose of the weekend? The purpose is threefold: 1) to get to know your fellow parishioners 2) to read and reflect on scripture 3) to experience the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist in a special setting
How long does the weekend last? The retreat begins Saturday morning at 8:00am and concludes Sunday afternoon at 5:00pm.
For more information call: Julie Johnsonbaugh 517-204-0423 or [email protected] Lisa Welko (417) 830-3034 or [email protected]
WHAT CRHP IS NOT: · It's not a silent retreat · It's not a public confession · · It’s not a parish ministry · It’s not an emotional cult · It’s not a pre-selected group or clique ·

The Catholic Man Retreat is a two-day fellowship retreat. It is a wonderful, faith-filled weekend with ten regular guys sharing how Jesus has impacted their daily lives in the areas of personal commitment, spirituality, Christian community, scripture, and discipleship. Prayer, personal reflection, and Mass are included.
The retreat begins around 8:30am on Saturday, February 16, at the Parish Center. It ends around 3:00pm on Sunday. Overnight stay is optional but because Saturday’s session can go a little late, and start up again early Sunday morning, some men prefer to stay the night. If you want a hotel room, we have a special room rate at the Baymont Inn next door 417-297-0142.
The retreat is limited to 32 men and RSVP is required in order to plan for the meals and supplies. All meals and materials are provided. Free Will donations will be accepted to help offset the retreat costs.
Why not get charged up for the Lenten season by attending this retreat. Brochures are available at the Help Desk. RSVP, Questions? Contact Deacon Dan – (812) 204-2625, [email protected].
