sensational well bred Blondes from Steve Poulsom & family which stole the
show seeing steers charge to £1445, £1360 and £1350 with their heifers
rocketing to £1375 for a remarkable sort with others to £1300. Good to see Pat
Apsey back in Frome with his exceptional Blue steer racing to £1190 (20mo). A
regular consignment from LP Norman & Sons met another good trade seeing
Blue steers to £1105 (19mo) and Limousin steers to £1080. Very few Blue
heifers forward, 16mo sorts from The Covey to £885. Another outstanding entry
of cattle from Will Weaver & family today with Limousin steers racing to £1225,
Simmental steers to £1150, Fleckvieh steers to £1185 and Simmental heifers to
£1085 (20mo), a marvellous trade for all. Good to see the Sherborne family
exhibiting quality goods seeing 16mo Limousin steers to a mighty £1290 with
their heifers to £1205 and £1155. Another quality Limousin heifer from Messrs
Gould sailed to £1170 (27mo). Another excellent consignment from Les & Tom
Rogers saw Limousin steers to £990 and £930 and Charolais heifers to £1050
and £930. 17mo Simmental steers from Petersham Farms soared to £1000 with
heifers to £1010. A smart Simmental steer from Martom Farms flew to £1065. A
truly outstanding trade, do keep them coming cattle are wanted here at Frome.

Paul Phelps
It is with great sadness we report that Paul Phelps has
passed away. Paul was a very loyal supporter to FLA.
Today a minute’s silence was held in the calf ring in his
memory.
Our thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.
