This module focuses on consolidating students' knowledge of medieval history and giving students an opportu-nity to independently apply this knowledge, employ the methods of the discipline, and use relevant forms of pre-sentation. Discussing selected examples, the module consolidates students' previous knowledge of medieval hi-story. Problems in medieval history are explored in both source-based and research-oriented courses. Problemsin cultural, social, structural, and economic history, the history of society, and the history of mentalities as wellas interdisciplinary problems are also considered.

Students are able to familiarise themselves with more complex issues, employing the methods of the disciplineand taking into account relevant source material and secondary literature as well as the findings of related disci-plines.
