The Internet (from Wikipedia) The Internet is a global system of

interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) to serve billions of users worldwide.

It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, & government networks of local to global scope that are linked by a broad array of electronic and optical networking technologies.

The World Wide Web (from Wikipedia) The Web is a system of interlinked

hypertext documents accessed via the Internet.

With a web browser, one can view web pages that may contain text, images, videos, and other multimedia and navigate between them by using hyperlinks.

Tim Berners-Lee and his team originated the WWW.

Web 2.0 Who coined the phrase? Tim O’Reilly of

Web 2.0 applications are built for user-added content

Before, a web manager added content to a website but the exchange was one-way

Today, anyone with Internet access can add content to a Wiki, Blog or other social networking site

Web1.0 vs Web2.0 Term Web2.0 suggests a new version of the Web,

but actually it does not refer to an update to any technical specifications. Rather it refers to cumulative changes in the ways software developers and end-users use the Web.
