In addition to Aqua Shield ™, Kamco also manufactures polyethylene-coated copper tubing for gas, fuel-oil and various industrial applications. For gas applications, we offer both coated copper tubing and tin-lined coated copper tubing. Both provide added corrosion protection and clearer identification of tube contents. The inner tin-lining of Gas-Pro ™ allows it to be installed in many areas that do not permit the use of bare copper due to concerns of excessive sulfur in the gas. We have also developed Gas-Tec Plus ™, an outer-sleeved coated copper tubing for applications requiring additional physical protection.

For fuel oil applications, we manufacture both coated copper tubing and outer-sleeved coated copper tubing. Both are extruded with a uniquely grooved polyethylene coating that protects the copper from corrosion and assists with leak detection in the event of a line failure or pin hole.

To complement the lines of tubing, Kamco offers several accessories. These include a custom termination flange, spring benders and heat shrink kits.

The tubing can be direct-buried underground and also run through concrete slabs. Aqua Shield is easy to install with no additional training required.

Aqua Shield tubing is available in many sizes, including straight lengths. It can be used alone or in conjunction with cathodic protection to increase the life of the tubing. The polyethylene coating used is a very abrasive resistant plastic which is ideal for “pull throughs” when replacing existing service lines. Custom line-marking is available upon request to include a utility’s name for further identification.

By removing the burr on the copper prior to joining, you will improve your water flow by eliminating water turbulence that is known to contribute to erosion corrosion.
