Jesus Christ is Our Lord and SaviorWe are delighted that you joined us today for worship. God created mankind in his image. In its created state, everything that God made was “very good.” (Genesis 2:7-3:2) The world is stained by sin, and every person is a sinner. (Genesis 3; Romans 3:23) The wages (Romans 6:23) for sin is death. Because of sin, every person deserves the penalty of physical death and eternal judgment. (Romans 6:23) Because he loves us, God the Father sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to receive the punishment for our sins by dying on the cross. (John 3:16; Romans 8:1-11) Every person who turns to Christ in repentance and receives him as Savior and Lord will receive forgiveness for their sins and eternal life in heaven with God. We Gather Around God’s Word in Our Singing & PreachingWe gather for worship each Sunday at 10:45 a.m. We seek to blend the best of both the ancient and modern expressions of Christian worship. We use a variety of instruments in our praise of God. The Word of God is central to our worship.

We Hope You Will Connect by Attending a Sunday SchoolClasses for children and adults of all ages meet each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. We would be excited to have your family join us. For a listing of classes, please stop by our Connections Center.

We have Bibles for EveryoneWe want everyone to have their own copy of God’s Word. You are welcome to use the Bible in the pew rack. Bibles are available at no charge at the Connections Center.

We Provide Child Care We off er extended care for children from birth through age 4 in our preschool area and Children’s Worship for ages 3 (need to be potty trained) - grade 4.

Praying for clarity...Seventy-seven percent of all Americans self-identify as Christians. Sixty-nine percent say that religion is very or moderately important to them. Millions of people pray over their meals, go to religious services weekly, and read religious material. They actively practice their religion. Many people are third and fourth and fi fth generation church members. They are passionate about their rituals and exercises and disciplines, and they should be. They are as dedicated as anyone can be to their religion.And millions of these people know absolutely nothing about worshiping God in the Spirit, rejoicing in Christ Jesus, and having no confi dence in the fl esh. These three things sound like another language to them. I know this to be true because it is true in every generation including the fi rst generation of Christians. Millions of people never receive or believe the truth which the Apostle Paul preached so boldly and for which he gave his life. They never accept the truth for which Jesus died upon the cross. They are religious, but they do not know how to rejoice in Christ Jesus.So I am praying for clarity this morning. I have been praying that God would help me make this message abundantly, unmistakably clear. I want those who hear me today to comprehend, at least, what I am saying whether you agree with it or not. And I hope that you will agree, because I believe this truth is the heart of the good news of Jesus Christ.
