Dear Unstrung Members,

I called Elizabeth on Wednesday, and in the one and a half hours that we talked she brought meup to date on everything that has happened in her life since we last saw her as a vibrantmember of our club. The following are some facts I'm sharing with the Club.

She worked at Mayo Clinic, and was in her is" year as an RN, when she had to go on disability.She had recently been accepted to go to a third world country for a year through Mayo to workon children with cleft palates, but had to pull out when she got sick.

She was in the Military, served in Afghanistan, and received a Purple Heart for bravery.

She has received conflicting diagnoses from doctors about what caused the recurrence of thebreast cancer that she had some years ago, but the bottom line is that she now has tumors injust about every part of her body from her brain to her bones. The chemo ravages her body,with awful consequences. She says she is "skinny" and is losing her hair, and yet the amazingthing is that although doctors have not given her a very hopeful prognosis, she seems to have apositive attitude. Even while we chatted, however, she broke down in tears, and it's clear she isstruggling.

She said she loved being around Unstrung and all of the members, and although she was the"baby" of the group, she considered us family. Now she needs our "family" more than ever.Besides financial support, Elizabeth needs our emotional support with prayer and goodthoughts.

There is also another way you can support Elizabeth. She says food would be gratefullyaccepted, which clearly conveys a level of difficulty for her to meet even basic daily needs. Sheis on an extremely restricted diet, with no sugar and very limited carbs, but the following areitems she could use:
