Thank you for ministering to children and families through the
annual offering. This is your guide for recommendations and
resources to help your church collect its best offering.
Week of Prayer : November 10-17, 2019
The timeline below offers recommendations to help you
plan and inspire ideas for your church’s offering.
Prepare
+ Pray: ask God to lead your church’s efforts and in setting your offering goal.
+ order resources: Make sure you have enough materials. If you still need
envelopes, bulletin inserts, posters, etc., call 336-474-1209. (See next page.)
+ Schedule your events:
- Mark the Week of Prayer (nov. 10- 17) on your calendar or choose the
dates most convenient for your church to participate.
- Schedule dates for events surrounding your offering.
- Consider showing a video each week. (See next page.)
- Schedule a BCh speaker to share at your church. Call 336-474-1209
or visit www.bchoffering.org/speaker
Share
+ Hang your offering posters.
+ Make announcements from the pulpit/stage in the weeks ahead.
+ announce your goal and explain how your church will collect its offering.
+ Show the videos. Speaking about the offering directly before or after
showing the video during a service can be very effective.
+ Share on your website/social media pages. (See next page.)
+ Share in your bulletin, newsletters and emails.
Participate
+ Distribute the offering envelopes and bulletin inserts which include
the Week of Prayer guide. ask church members to use the guide
to pray for the BCH ministry.
+ Collect your offering and send it to the Baptist State Convention of NC.
+ Participate in a BCh event: See the ministry up close. Friends of Children
this fall is a one-day workday for all ages with a free meal. Learn more

members and keep them updated about your offering
plans by using the resources we’ve prepared for you.

Baptist Children’s homes | Many Ministries Beating with one heart
The heart of Baptist Children’s Homes (BCH) beats with a rhythm of hope that
extends to children, families and adults. for every person’s specific need, there is
a unique BCH ministry ready to offer hope and the opportunity for a bright future.
+ BCH has locations in 21 nC communities from the mountains to the coast.
+ BCH impacted 94,275 lives in 2018 through the support of churches.
+ 70% of those who come to BCH are unchurched and unreached for Jesus.
+ In the past five years, there have been 669 professions of faith.
+ In 2018, 16,796 nC children were removed from their families and placed
in the state’s foster care system.
+ Through the family foster care program, BCH trains and licenses couples to
be foster families and helps churches to begin their own foster care ministries.
+ It oversees Good Shepherd and Westoreland family Children’s Homes,
orphanages in Guatemala.
+ BCH operates North Carolina Baptist aging Ministry (NCBaM) serving aging adults.
+ It provides nine homes for intellectually/developmentally disabled adults.
+ BCH operates North Carolina Baptist aging Ministry (NCBaM) serving aging adults.
+ It offers 24/7 residential wilderness camps that are licensed, non-public schools.
+ BCH provides a home for teen mothers and their babies at Care House.
+ Its family Care ministry offers a support for hard-working single mothers.
+ The Greater Vison outreach Ministry aids community families in crisis.
+ HoMeBaSe offers refuge and resources to college students with no family support.
