Sources of revenue National Championship Internal Audit:✓ ARC Institute fully supports the respective national associations with advertising materials for

participants as well as flyers and marketing materials to attract sponsors more easily. At the same time, the ARC team will organize the entire event (national and European) with its staff at its own expense. This includes operations, IT hardware, customer success service (24x7), marketing templates and much more.

✓ Each national association has the best national contacts with sponsors. Therefore, each national association can best market its event. In a fair cooperation, each national association participates 50% of the revenues and the ARC Institute 50% of the revenues.

Continental European sponsors overarching the whole European Championship✓ Continental European sponsors for the overall European Championship event such as sports

brand manufacturers: Adidas, Nike, Puma or car manufacturers: Mercedes, Renault, Audi etc. or soft drink manufacturers, Coca-Cola, Pepsi and more are centrally coordinated by the ARC Institute to work out the best possible bid. Successful roll-out | Options✓ The European championship could be played in a pyramid form bottom-up, with each European

national chapter crowning an MVP and a winning team, this would help as it is normally carried out in all sports, thus we use a proven and well-known principle for all participants, which is easy to understand.

✓ Each country could host a national audit championship. In this context, each national IIA can choose between three execution models, possibly depending on the size of the country and the intended marketing revenues and publicity effects.

A) The national IIA championship could be done as a virtual training event. Every participating auditor could take part with his end-user medium, wherever he or she would be located.

B) The national IIA championship could be done as live audit business game event.C) For larger countries the effect would be even higher to have the first round as a previous

qualifier decentralized virtually and later have an attractive live audit business final game convention.

✓ The final round in European Audit Championship would then be played live. A) It would be possible that all nations play at the same time or B) which would be much more exciting one-week European Audit Championship with a match schedule and an attractive team draw before. The team draw alone would already generate enormous attention and could be broadcast live in social media streaming. The Championship itself, with quarter finals, semi finals and final live streaming broadcast! 27


✓ As a result, the best teams in Internal Audit Knowledge would compete with each otherEurope-wide, e.g. UEFA soccer cup, for the European Championship in Internal Audit, this could then take place annually in different countries and would be an amazing outstanding event for our profession Internal Audit.

How could this be achieved? Proposal for a practical implementation road map• What have we understood so far? The setting should, if possible, be carried out in a

resource-saving manner for each IIA national chapter in Europe. Therefore we propose:

• In coordination with each national IIA Management Board as decision-taker, we as ARC Institute Team would develop a marketing and execution concept. After approval by each national chapter, the ARC Institute would execute the project. What does this mean? Please see next slide …

How could this be achieved? Practical implementation road map The ARC Institute | Audit Research Center produces marketing materials, contacts sponsors based on

information and the national IIA chapters network, coordinates the activities in close coordination with the management boards.

All operational activities would be carried out by the ARC Institute team after approval by the management boards. Thus everything remains under the control of the common IIA Management Board.

Once the European concept is in place, the finished marketing materials will be made available to the national IIA chapters so that they can use their communication channels to attract participants.

The ARC Institute team then designs and supports each national institute in the implementation and marketing campaign.

The ARC Institute Team takes responsibility for all technology and implementation. Result: After the decision to participate, the implementation in each case would be coordinated and

executed operationally by the ARC Institute Team. Blueprint evidences, e.g. IIA Switzerland and IIA Middle East that the concept works in practice ☺.

Profit Sharing: The national IIAs and the ARC Institute Team receive each 50% in the sense of a fair team play, after deduction of the direct costs which are transparently presented for approval. Thus each European IIA can only win, this is a real Win-Win-Win Situation for national IIA members, for each national IIA Chapter and our Internal Audit Profession. The Downside Risk and cost is completely covered by the ARC Institute Team, because we believe in the success of smart learning in Internal Audit. 29


Current FAQs Do we get help to set up a national competition? Can we count on the professional content put together

by you as ARC Institute? or do we have to come up with our own content?

✓Yes, we fully support you. There will a common level playing field for national, qualifying competitions.

We deliver full content.

How many people are in a national team?

✓The national competition allows to select the best 11 players for each national team. The national team is

usually a selection of cross-company and cross-industry depending on the results of the national

championship, competition.

Can we award individual players and teams in our national competition?

✓In addition to the individual competition, MVP, Most-Valuable-Player in each country, there is usually a

general national team competition.

How many participants per team should there be in national competition? (for the team award)

✓Depending on the average size of the national audit departments, the team size can vary from 3 to 7+ persons per registered team.

What opportunities do we have for good press work?

✓All national champions, individual and team competitions can be awarded with a national trophy by you directly as national IIA. This is a

great opportunity for marketing and press work.

How much is the participation fee per person?

✓A normal licence for our Serious Business Games costs 390 Euros per participant. However, we will counter-finance this from our

marketing budget, so that it will certainly be possible to offer a preferential price of 95 Euros per participant per competition round.

What kind of support can we get additionally from your experienced ARC implementation team?

✓We will support you with the realisation of the event by our marketing team, as well as with marketing materials, such as text for the

website or marketing flyers.
