TOP PLAYERS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD GATHER IN TOKYO FOR THE BUSHIROAD CHAMPIONSHIP

SERIES 2017 WORLD FINALS

Tokyo (January 25, 2017) – 142 top players of Bushiroad’s card games from 28 different countries

gathered in Akiba Square, Tokyo to compete against one another at the Bushiroad Championship Series

2017 World Finals on Sunday, 20 January, 2018. The finals was held in conjunction with the World Grand

Prix 2017.

The Bushiroad Championship Series 2017 (BCS2017) is a year-long circuit that culminates in a clash of

champions who emerged from 47 different regional qualifiers across the world. BCS2017 features four

of Bushiroad’s English edition card games, Cardfight!! Vanguard, Weiss Schwarz, Future Card Buddyfight

and Luck & Logic.

Before the World Finals, the finalists got to unwind and relieve some of the pre-tournament tension at

the reception dinner organized by Bushiroad. After that brief moment of levity, the World Finals

commenced with an opening ceremony featuring special guests, voice actress, Aimi, producer of

Cardfight!! Vanguard, Mr Akiyama and producer of Weiss Schwarz, Mr Horri. A livestream was also

available so that players all over the world could witness the action in real time.

After many intense battles, the rightful owners of the World Champion titles emerged to much fanfare

and the BCS2017 draws to a close. Following the end of the BCS2017, Bushiroad will be preparing for its

Bushiroad Spring Fest event starting March 2018 with team tournaments for the English edition games,

Cardfight!! Vanguard, Weiss Schwarz, Future Card Buddyfight and the new English exclusive trading card

game, Dragoborne –Rise to Supremacy–.
