HOW CAN THE PROGRAM HELP ME?
It allows owners of mobile homes who are extremely low income to make essential repairs. Further, it takes the worry out of home repairs because our experienced staff is available to advise you at no cost.
ELIGIBLE AREAS
Residents of the following communities may be considered for assistance.
WHAT FORMS OF
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
ARE AVAILABLE?
Financial assistance is provided as follows:
Monies are provided as a deferred loan with
conversion to a grant following 3 years of
occupancy.
The loan recipient is required to sign a
promissory note with Erie County prior to
project start-up.
The maximum assistance is $5,000.
HOW DOES THE
PROGRAM WORK?
A minimum of two contractors’ estimates
are required to assure a fair price for work
to be done.
Participants select their own contractor.
The County trained housing staff will assist in
guiding the work that is being done.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The property upon which the mobile home is occupied must be located within one of the participating communities listed.
The mobile home must be owner-occupied, and the household's principal residence.
The land upon which the mobile home is located must be current with respect to local property taxes.
The gross household income must not exceed the following income figures:

WHAT REPAIRS ARE ELIGIBLE?
Exterior work, such as roofing or window replacement.
Interior repairs necessary to address an emergency situation which threatens the health and safety of the occupants.
Handicapped accessibility work.
