Customer expectations of eating out have never been higher, with hotels and restaurants expected to deliver innovation, quality and value.
We have worked with many hotel groups, restauranteurs and operators looking for optimum efficiency in the design and planning of their facilities, amidst costly space rental and increasing competition.
The following pages are a sample portfolio of some of the projects we have completed.
THE YAS HOTEL
This development for Aldar Hospitality encompasses a 300
key and 200 key hotel building, linked over the Abu Dhabi F1
Grand Prix circuit by a glass bridge with destination bar.
Building 1’s lobby was designed around a street themed
Culinary Village including a patisserie, Tandoori bar, noodle
bar, all day dining as well as a rooftop bar & restaurant.
Building 2 includes a seafood restaurant, fine dining
restaurant, pool bar and grill.
Tricon worked with designers Asymptote to coordinate and
develop the scheme and detailed designs for the extensive
food and beverage onsite.

THE ADDRESS HOTEL - DUBAI MALL
Created by DPA architects as a 247 key, five star hotel this
high profile development located in the heart of the Burj area
also includes 449 serviced apartments.
Tricon took the initial development ideas and helped create
all the Food and Beverage & Hospitality facilities including
a full inhouse laundry and a complete waste management
system.
The development includes also a function and business
centre which together with the hotel is serviced by an all day
restaurant, lobby restaurant and link restaurant. There is a
ballroom, lounge bar and pool restaurant.

THE WALDORF HOTEL
This complex refurbishment saw a complete overhaul of this
beautiful 1870’s building. A complete redesign of the hotel’s
28 year old kitchens also saw the introduction of two new
restaurants. Tricon worked closely with architects TP Bennett
and interior designers David Collins to complete the project.
The stunning Palm Terrace was also refurbished and the
hotel kept operational throughout.

W HOTEL
Recently opened and located in the West Bay area of Doha
the hotel comprises 350 rooms and several restaurants
including La Maison du Caviar and Spice Market designed by
Jean George. There is also a Champagne Bar, Ballroom for
500 guests, meeting room suites and a Pool Bar.
W Doha Hotel was designed by UK based firm United
Designers and Tricon was involved with the development
of the strategy and design for all kitchens and foodservice
areas.

COWORTH PARK
Formally the family home of the Rothschild family, this
beautiful building and outhouses were transformed to
provide a country retreat for Dorchester clients. Working in
conjunction with the Dorchester Executive Chef Henry Brosi
and Michelin Star chef John Campbell, Tricon has designed
the kitchens for the main house and barn buildings.

RAFAL KEMPINSKI TOWER
This iconic tower located on the King Fayed Road was the
original concept design of Krause Bohne Architects and
incorporates retail, offices, serviced apartments and a 300
bed hotel.
Working as part of a project team led by P&T Architects,
Tricon are responsible for the scheme and detailed design
of the food, beverage and laundry facilities which include all
day dining, fine dining supported from a central commissary
kitchen and satellite ballroom kitchen.

PARK INN HOTEL
Formerly two seperate hotels, this complex was refurbished
in 2006 to meet demands of increasing airport passenger
traffic. Tricon developed central kitchens, bar and buffet
designs in conjunction with Rezidor’s food and beverage
development team.

JAFZA CONVENTION CENTRE & HOTEL
This development located in Jebel Ali Freetrade Zone, is to
operate as a Millenium Hotel. This is a business hotel that
is part of a mixed development including the Convention
Centre.
A 332 key hotel offering an all day restaurant and a lobby
cafe and bar connected to the Convention Centre. Within the
Convention Centre there is the main exhibitions space with
two catering outlets, a ballroom for 1,000 covers, a series
of meeting rooms and VIP lounges. Tricon was involved
in advising on the overall food and beverage strategy and
providing a full design service.

RADISSON BLU YAS ISLAND
The Radisson Blu is located directly adjacent to the Yas Marina
Formula 1 racing circuit in Abu Dhabi with management
views of the Links Golf Course and Arabian Gulf.
Tricon was responsible for the detailed design development
of the main commissary, laundry and support kitchens and
pantries to the hotels, restaurants and bar.

Regarded as London’s premier Japanese restaurant, Tricon
worked with the owners to develop designs for the bar,
bento cafe, sushi bar and basement teppan yaki restaurant,

PARK ROTANA HOTEL
Located in the Khalifa Park Business and Banking district,
this contemporary five star hotel is part of a mixed use
residential and business development.
The food and beverage functions around a central main
kitchen supporting a signature restaurant, a seperate bar
and restaurant, all day dining, lobby lounge cafe and pool
bar and a seperate banqueting kitchen supporting a 450
seat ballroom. Tricon worked closely with the architect to
deliver scheme and detailed designs for all food, beverage
and laundry areas.

MOTORCITY
Located within the Motorcity development, this iconic building
sits adjacent to the Grand Prix racetrack. This five star hotel
incorporates a champagne restaurant and bar, Brazilian
restaurant, Italian restaurant and sports bar.
Tricon worked closely with Burt Hill Architects to develop
scheme and detailed designs for the central commissary
kitchen, specialist satellite kitchen and full guest laundry.

SEMIRAMIS INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL
Working with the acclaimed New York based interior
designer Tony Chi, Tricon developed concepts, scheme and
detailed design for the Hotel’s Night and Day, and Grill Room
restaurants as well as some selective refurbishment of the
hotel’s central kitchens.

THE CUMBERLAND HOTEL
The Cumberland is a 1,019 bed hotel that underwent a bold
contemporary refurbishment. Tricon was responsible for the
concept and design of the ‘Market’ restaurant that supported
the hotel’s conference facilities and designed the banqueting
kitchens.

ONE ALDWYCH
This beautiful boutique hotel transformed an existing bank
building into a London destination venue. Tricon was retained
to provide scheme and detailed design for the central and
satellite kitchens as well as the bar areas.

HYATT CAPITAL GATE TOWER
An iconic building designed by RMJM architects and located
adjacent to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. This is
a mixed use tower where the hotel element was designed for
Hyatt. There are 200 bedrooms from the 18th floor upwards
and a range of food & beverage facilities, including an all
day speciality restaurant, bar and meeting rooms. Tricon was
involved throughout the entire design process and advised
on the operational management in areas that influenced the
design of food & beverage and laundry.
The main support facilities are contained within the
basement and include the central stores, food production
areas and laundry.
