Jim Bertram is the global head of the firm’s consumer and retail investment banking group. Before joining William Blair in 2006, he was the co-head of Banc of America Securities’ global consumer products investment banking practice. In this role, he assisted domestic and international consumer products manufacturers and distributors in executing mergers and acquisitions and raising debt and equity capital through both public and private market transactions. Brent Smith is a managing director in the consumer and retail group.
