In case you missed the big announcement during our

retirement reception for the Mitchells…

Trinity’s Church Council has voted to change the name of Luther Hall to Mitchell Hall, to honor

Pastor and Judy and to commemorate their 37

years of ministry at Trinity!

Sponsors needed for students in Ethiopia! Would you consider sponsoring a student for one year? Many current sponsors want to continue with their students, but some may not be able to do so. Your $300 donation, made to Trinity, would be so helpful and is fully tax-deductible. A student can live and eat in the dormitory and have all school expenses paid for $300... less than a dollar a day. This is a marvelous investment in the future of a region that has many bright people with very little chance for education. If you wish to sponsor a student, please drop off a check, made out to Trinity Lutheran Church for $300 with "Ethiopia student sponsorship" in the memo line, at the church office or send (508 Center St.) before June 30. Forms are available in the church office, and the June Newsletter. If you have any questions, contact Judy White, 419-962-4959 or [email protected].

Summer is here! That means school meals will no longer be an option for the chil-dren who rely on them every day! We need your help to keep their pantries filled so that they can have access to kid-friendly foods! You will see that I have included such items in our list below! Thanks for helping us to help others! Items needed: Spaghetti–O’s/Ravioli, Spaghetti and Spaghetti Sauce, Cereals, Boxed Crackers of any kind, Granola Bars, Grape or Strawberry Jelly, Egg Noo-dles, Canned Fruits – any needed!, Vegetable Oil, Fresh produce from your gar-dens that you have a surplus of is always welcomed by our clients! Dish Soap, Laundry Detergent, Feminine Products, Kleenex, Diapers (size 3/up) ***Volunteer opportunities: We are having our annual fundraising bake sale at our

Festival in the Park on July 11, so if anyone would like to donate a baked item for the sale, we would appreci-ate it! The proceeds go to our Back to School Program to benefit local families with back to school clothing and shoes. Enjoy the summer and may God be with you! Rosemarie Donley

Camp Mowana Needs Your Help! Did you go to Camp Mowana? Did your kids or grandkids? Remember the won-derful experience it was? Several of our young people are summer counselors there. Cheryl Benway is the Dinnertime Cook and has made us aware that they need us to be involved. Listed below are some of the needs the camp kitchen has and opportunities for you to help. Let’s keep the legacy of Camp Mowana going!

1. Lend a Hand: We need oven mits and pot holders! Dish towels would also be helpful. You can drop them in the 5-gallon Camp Mowana bucket by the information desk.

2. Make it a Clean Sweep: We need a ‘like new’ broom for each cabin. Buy yourself a new broom and give us your old one. We both win and the cabins get cleaner!

3. Cleaning Supplies & Support: We are planning a volunteer-initiated, rejuvenation of the dining hall and kitchen areas. Here are some needs: sponges, SOS pads, scouring pads, brushes, small cleaning rags, 409 Cleaner, Windex, and dish soap.

If you have any questions or want to volunteer, contact Cheryl at 419-606-9374. Thank you so much!

There are three kinds of people: Those who can count and those who can't. Campers: Nature's way of feeding mosquitoes. Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine. A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory. As long as there are tests, there will be prayer in public schools. I took an IQ test and the results were negative. Be nice to your kids. They'll choose your nurs-ing home. Vacation begins when Dad says, "I know a short cut."
