Juniors Take It Home With The Win!
By: Rachel Winterfeld
This year's annual Powder Puff game was held at the football
field at 6:00 pm on October 11. The beginning of the first games
started a little after 6:00 when all teams were ready to fight. On
one side of the field, the freshmen and seniors battled for the win,
the seniors won that game like champs. On the other side of the
field, the sophomores and juniors battled to see
who played the seniors for the next game and push-
ing through, the juniors won.
The next games were played after a short inter-
mission with freshmen vs. sophomores and juniors
vs. seniors for the championship. The junior/senior
game was all tied up 6-6 with a little under a minute
to go and the juniors scored another touchdown. Sadly, it was
over for the seniors. First place went to juniors, seniors placed
second, sophomores received third place and freshmen took
fourth place while keeping their heads up, hopeful for the next
years to come.
Tiger Tales would like to thank the high school students who
coached, some of the football team coaches for refereeing, the
football moms for running the show this year, and everyone who
played in the games. Hope to see you all next year, and may the
odds be ever in your favor!

Tiger of the Week
By: Brittany Atkinson and Andrea Weirauch
This week’s Tiger of the Week is Kelsea
Rohrs. At the Edgerton invite, catastrophe struck.
Kelsea was just settling into the race at about the
one-mile mark when some evil competitor stepped
on her shoe and disengaged the shoe from her foot.
Refusing to go back, she soared forward to a solid
finish! Kels finished with a new PR of the season and
with a new bad to the bone reputation. Rawr on
Rohrs!

Inappropriate Dancing is No Longer School Appropriate
By: Andrea Weirauch and Sarah Yaney
School dances at Liberty Center High School have changed forever. “Grinding”,
“Twerking”, and or inappropriate physical contact while dancing will no longer be tolerated at
Liberty Center High School. These rules were added to the handbook at the beginning of the
school year and every student signed a paper agreeing that they had read the rules and under-
stood them. The handbook states: “For grades 7 through 12, all school rules and code of conduct
are in force during all dances. Students must face their partner when dancing and inappropriate
dancing will not be tolerated. Students will be warned the first time and be asked to leave the sec-
ond time. Parents will be called when a student is being asked to leave the dance for inappropri-
ate dancing. The dress code is in force during all dances.”
As we all know, this was a big controversy this year at our homecoming dance. In lieu of all
of our actions, this behavior should not take place at a school event because what if people in the
community came in and saw that? What would they think of that behavior? Our dances are school
affiliated and therefore school behavior should still be carried out and respected.

Football Tigers Take A Win Over The Red Devils And A Hard Loss To
The Bryan Bears
By: Alexa Polsdorfer
The wrap up for the seventh week for the Tigers was a good
game. The Tigers took on the Red Devils from Arlington with the
final score of 28-23. The Tigers kept the Devils on their toes
throughout the game. The ending of the game was a nail-biter
but the Tigers pulled through. Anthony Righi, Henry Elling, Levi
Frysinger, Jordan Smith, and Kaleb Pohlman led the Tiger offen-
sive. And Logan Smith led the Tigers in solo tackles.
Week 8 of Tiger football has just passed. And the Tigers
took the loss when they traveled to Bryan. The Tigers were able
to keep up, up to the half, and then started to lose it in the third.
On the offensive side for the Tigers, Anthony Righi,Henry Elling,
Kaleb Pohlman, and Jordan Smith led the Tigers in rushing yards.
On the defensive side, Konnor Pohlman, Nick Demaline, and
Levi Frysinger led the team in blocks. The Tigers played very
tough and will be facing the Delta Panthers in week 9 for senior
night!
Liberty Center Boys Soccer
By: Hunter Carnahan
The Liberty Center Boys Soccer team had an amazing
year. They ended in the sectional finals against Van Bu-
ren after a really cold and soggy 1-0 loss. They ended
their season at 9-8 with a NWOHSSL League title. The
seniors were asked to play in an “All-Star” game hosted
at Liberty Center Tiger Stadium on November 2. It has
seniors from Liberty Center, Waite, Bowsher, Cardinal
Stritch, Whitmer, and Otsego. So come out and support
your senior Tigers at Tiger Stadium!

Liberty Center Cross Country

Last weekend the Tigers ran their NWOAL meet at Ever-
green High School. The boys had a solid second place finish beat-
ing out Wauseon to become League Runner-Up. The Tigers were
led by Colin Burns, Cameron Weaks, Vince Pinson, Kyle Nash,
and Matt Baker. The Lady Tigers had a disappointing finish, losing
by three points the Wauseon Indians to become the NWOAL Run-
ner-Ups.The Tigers were led by Brittany Atkinson, Olivia Kundo,
Paige Chamberlain, Jenna Vollmar, and Emma Babcock.
The next week the Tigers came back to claim both District Ti-
tles. The boys made history by becoming the first Liberty Center
boys team to ever take home a District Title in Cross Country.
Cameron Weaks claimed the individual title with a new PR. Also
leading up front for the Tigers was Colin Burns, Vince Pinson,
Kyle Nash, Jason Hadley, and Matt Baker. The girls won continu-
ing their streak of six District Titles in a row. The Lady Tigers took
the first four places led by Brittany Atkinson, Olivia Kundo, Jenna

Spanish Club
By: Rachel Winterfeld
This issue’s question was if you could have any superhero pow-
er what would it be and why?
Below are the responses of some Liberty Center students:
Clare Long: Super Strength because I am super weak.
Sierra Richardson: Read minds because I am nosy.
Candace Sayers: Have an ugly-ray so I can be prettier than
everyone else.
Allison Righi: Have the power to make my hair grow whenever
I want it to.
Ryan Demaline: Invisibility because it’d be sweet.
Austin Bachman: Have the power to fly so I could go places
faster.
Emma Babcock: Read minds because then I could know what
people are thinking.
Alissa Daniels: To be able to move stuff with my mind because
then I wouldn't have to move around to do stuff.
Chloe Knapp: Be able to fly so I could travel the world.

Trick or Treat?
By: Gaby Hawkins
Halloween is a time for scares, candy and dressing up as your favorite character, superhero, etc. It
seems Halloween is turning more for the adults than for the kids. Halloween is meant for the little kids to
run around in their costumes and receive candy from the neighbors. Adults, and teenagers especially are
becoming more and more willing to go trick or treating in compromising costumes.
This issue has been going on for a long time now and it needs to be addressed. Young children are
being exposed to inappropriate teenage and adult costuming during trick or treat night and they shouldn’t
be. Parents do not want their children being exposed to such things and have a right to say something
about the issue.
This Halloween season, teenagers and adults should be considerate to the young children that are
influenced by the world around them and chose something more conservative or decide to hand out candy
instead.

Haley Oehler and Parker Wiley
By: Brittany Atkinson
This week’s featured couple is the ador-
able Haley Oehler and Parker Wiley. It was
love at first sight when they saw each other on
that school day. They have been dating now
for a total of 10 long months. Parker is ex-
pected to pop the big question soon. When
asked their favorite thing about each other Ha-
ley said she liked Parker’s personality and
Parker said he likes Haley’s smile. You can
find this couple doing homework together or
on long car rides with their parents to the mov-
ies.

Kaelen Brown
By: Alexa Polsdorfer
This new student is Kaelen Brown. Kaelen
came over from Defiance High School. This
sophomore really enjoys how nice everyone
is! It’s hard for Kaelen to adjust to how small LC
is, which seems to be a common issue. Kaelen
loves Spanish class, and Mrs. Soto is his favor-
ite teacher. Don’t be afraid to go say hi to
Kaelen in the hall!

Mrs. Stuckey was born and raised in Ak-
ron, Ohio. She was homeschooled throughout
high school. After she graduated high school, she
attended Kent State in order to obtain the lovely
job of teaching that she has now. She’s really en-
joying the students so far and she loves how wel-
coming the staff is. Besides Liberty Center, Mrs.
Stuckey has taught at Northwest High School in
Akron and Green High School in Akron. In her
spare time, she enjoys running, playing the piano,
and cooking while she listens to pop and folk mu-
sic. Her biggest pet peeve is plagiarism. If she
could learn one random skill, she would learn
how to snowboard. Some of her favorites include
the restaurants Olive Garden and Carraba's, the
clothing store The Limited, the colors green and
pink, and the Fall season.
