National College “Mihai Eminescu”

National College “Mihai Eminescu” is situated in South-Eastern part of Romania in Buzău.

Its name comes from our national poet Mihai Eminescu (1850 – 1889).

On the 8th 1919 of October a document which said that a school will be opened in the town was signed.

The school was first a girls’ highschool but soon it became a place for both girls and boys .

In 1975 classes of bio-chemistry and languages were adopted in the school .

In 1994 there was a “ 75 years of existence jubilee”

In 2000 The Ministry of National Education renames the school as National College “Mihai Eminescu “

From 2000 to 2008 there were made remarkable changes : introducing high technology equipment for the biology, physics , chemistry and multimedia laboratories.

In 2008 there was adopted a uniform .

Our college is also a francophone school .

Our highschool has 1300 students and 80 teachers.

It has very good results at national and internationl educational contests ( mostly olympiads).

In January 2009 the Eminescu Days Symposium celebrates 90 years of existence of Mihai Eminescu College .

My name is Bianca Andreea, I am 16 years old and I study at the National College ''Mihai Eminescu'' in Buzau. I am in eleventh grade at a bilingual profile where I study Romanian, English, French and German,but mostly English.

As far as my hobbies are concerned, I like dancing(I take dance classes), going out with my friends, watching movies and TV series(especially psychological, comedy,romance and drama) and travelling. I like to think about myself that I am honest, creative, responsible and passionate about reading,philosophy and writing.

In conclusion, if I had to describe myself in 5 words I would choose: sea, blue, coffee, art, Pisces and cinnamon.

Numele meu este Bianca Andreea, am 16 ani şi învăţ la Colegiul Naţional Mihai Eminescu din Buzău. Sunt clasa a XI-a la un profil bilingv unde studiez româna, engleza, franceza şi germana, dar în special engleza.

În ceea ce priveşte hobby-urile mele, îmi place să dansez(fac cursuri de dans), să ies cu prietenii mei, să mă uit la filme şi seriale(în special psihologice, comedie, romantice şi dramă) şi să călătoresc. Îmi place să cred despre mine că sunt sinceră, creativă, responsabilă şi pasionată de citit, filosofie şi scris.

În concluzie, dacă ar trebui să mă descriu în 5 cuvinte aş alege: mare, albastru, cafea, artă, Peşti şi scorţișoară.

My name is Sarah – Florentina Okolisan and I’m 16 year old . I’ve been brought up in a city near Buzau by my grandparents . I have a little sister and parents who support me in everything I want to do .

I have a huge passion for arts , traditional art , dotting and painting , I also love old good movies and music. In my free time I prefer to cook, listen to music , read, paint or go somewhere with my friends.

I love travelling or going to cultural events and festivals . I prefer to think that I’m a direct person , who sees something funny in everything.

Numele meu este Sarah-Florentina Okolisan i am 16 ani. ș Am crescut intr-un ora lângă Buzău cu bunicii mei. Am o sora mai mică si părin i care mă sus in în ș ț țorice vreau să fac. Am o mare pasiune pentru artă, artă tradi ională, grafică dar i ț șpictură, deasemenea iubesc filmele bune i vechi si muzica. În timpul meu liber șprefer sa gătesc, să ascult muzică, să citesc, să pictez sau să mă duc undeva cu prietenii mei.

Iubesc călătoria i să merg la evenimente culturale i festivale. Prefer să ș șcred că sunt o persoana directă care vede ceva amuzant în orice.

My name is Cristina, I am 17 years  old, I am in the eleventh grade at The National College "Mihai Eminescu" Buzau , at Social Sciences,and my greatest passions are, besides photography and writing, the foreign languages.If i had to describe myself i would say that i am a sociable person ,i love travelling, i like knowing as much as i can about other cultures and to get in every project that can lead to my personal development. Right now my biggest wish is to get into college in England and to settle there. I really want to learn as many languages as i can so i could manage in any society and circumstance. My favourite saying is: "Mediocre minds usually dismiss anything which reaches beyond their understanding" by Francois de La Rochefoucauld.

Numele meu este Cristina, am 17 ani, sunt in clasa a11a la Colegiul national "Mihai Eminescu" Buzau, la profilul de stiinte sociale si cele mai mari pasiuni ale mele sunt, pe langa fotografie si scris, limbile straine. Daca ar fi sa ma descriu as zice sa sunt o fire sociabila, iubesc calatoriile , imi place sa cunosc cat mai multe despre fiecare cultura si sa ma implic in cat mai multe proiecte ce vor ajuta la propria mea dezvoltare .In momentul de fata cea mai mare dorinta a mea este sa intru la facultate in Anglia, si sa ma stabilesc acolo.  imi doresc mult sa invat pe cat de multe limbi straine pot,pentru a ma descurca in orice societate si situatie.
