POLARIZED PLUGThis appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than

the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug isintended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If theplug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If

it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely intothe AC outlet or if the AC outlet feels warm do not use that outlet.

BEFORE FIRST USE

This appliance is designed for indoor use only. It is a stand-aloneGriddle. Do not use charcoal, lighter fluids, or gases with this appliance.1. Carefully unpack the Griddle and remove all packaging materials.2. Unfold the Griddle and insert the GREASE TRAY in the front of the

unit to lock griddle in open position. 3. Remove the COOKING PLATES by

pushing down on the COOKINGPLATE LATCHES. (See Figure 1)

4. Wash the COOKING PLATES andGREASE TRAY with hot, soapy water.Rinse and dry thoroughly. CAUTION:Do not immerse the Griddle in wateror other liquids.

BEFORE FIRST USE (CONT.)

5. Replace the COOKING PLATES. Alignspecial notch area in COOKING PLATESwith unit. Hold plates up at a slight angleand slide plates into hinge areas and pushdown to lock plates. (See Figure 2)

NOTE:Make sure to push down on theCOOKING PLATE until it has firmly locked intoplace under the COOKING PLATE LATCH.NOTE: COOKING PLATES are not interchangeable and will only fit theirintended sides.6. Condition the non-stick COOKING PLATES with vegetable oil,

wiping off any excess with a paper towel.

HOW TO USE YOUR FOLDING GRIDDLE1. Place the Griddle on a flat, level surface, such as a countertop or table.2. Replace GREASE TRAY into guides at the front of the Griddle.3. Make sure the TEMPERATURE CONTROL KNOBS are in the “OFF” position.4. Plug Griddle into a 120 volt 60Hz AC outlet.5. Preheat the Griddle by aligning the TEMPERATURE CONTROL KNOB

indicator with the appropriate temperature setting for approximately15 minutes prior to use. The INDICATOR LIGHTS will illuminate,indicating that the Griddle is being preheated. When the INDICATORLIGHTS go out, the Griddle surface is preheated to the desiredtemperature and is ready for use. During cooking, the INDICATORLIGHTS will go on and off indicating that the surface temperature isbeing maintained.

6. The Fold ‘n Store™ Griddle is equipped with dual, independentcontrols allowing you to cook 2 different kinds of foods at one time. Orit has the ability to warm food on one side and cook food on the otherside.

7. Use only wood, nylon, or heat-proof plastic utensils. Metal utensilswill scratch the non-stick COOKING PLATES of the Griddle. NOTE:Never cut food with a knife on the Griddle.

8. When cooking is complete, turn the TEMPERATURE CONTROLKNOBS to the “OFF” position and unplug the POWER CORD fromthe outlet.

9. Allow Griddle to cool before removing COOKING PLATES andGREASE TRAY and cleaning.

NOTE: When cooking consecutive batches of bacon or other high fattyfoods, it may be necessary to empty the GREASE TRAY to avoid greasefrom overflowing.CAUTION: Some countertops are more sensitive to heat, use care notto place the Griddle on surfaces where heat may cause damage.

* PREHEAT GRIDDLE FOR 15 MINUTES

1. After using, unplug the POWER CORD from the outlet. AllowGriddle and COOKING PLATES to cool before cleaning.

2. Remove COOKING PLATES. (See page 4. "BEFORE FIRST USE") 3. Remove GREASE TRAY and empty the contents.4. Wipe the Griddle with warm, soapy water. Dry thoroughly.CAUTION: DO NOT IMMERSE THE GRIDDLE IN WATER OR OTHERLIQUIDS.5. The COOKING PLATES and GREASE TRAY may be washed in the

dishwasher. Or you may wash them with hot, soapy water. Rinseand dry thoroughly.

NOTE: Do not use steel wool scouring pads or harsh cleaners on anypart of the appliance. If necessary, use a nylon scouring pad.

STORAGE OF YOUR FOLDING GRIDDLE

1. Insert the COOKING PLATES. (See page 4. "BEFORE FIRST USE")NOTE: DO NOT replace the GREASE TRAY until the Griddle islocked and folded.2. Fold the griddle and use HANDLE LATCH to lock both handles together.3. After Griddle is folded and handles have been locked in the upright

position, you may replace the GREASE TRAY. (See Figure 3 and 4)4. The power cord can be secured on the convenient cord storage

when griddle is not in use. (See Figure 5)5. You are now ready to store your extra large Griddle in a compact

area.

5. Vuelva a colocar las BANDEJAS DECOCCIÓN. Alinee el área de la ranurade las BANDEJAS de COCCIÓN con launidad. Sostenga las placas con unpequeño ángulo hacia arriba ydeslícelas dentro del área de la bisagray empuje hacia abajo para trabarlas.(Ver Figura 2)

NOTA: Verifique que haya presionado hacia abajo sobre las BANDEJAS deCOCCIÓN hasta que se traben en su lugar mediante las TRABAS DE LASBANDEJAS DE COCCIÓN.NOTA: Las BANDEJAS de COCCIÓN no son intercambiables y entraránúnicamente en sus lugares respectivos.6. COMO USAR SU PLANCHA PLEGABLE1. Coloque la Plancha en una superficie plana y nivelada, como una

mesada o mesa.2. Coloque la BANDEJAS COLECTORA de GRASA en las guías del frente de

la unidad.3. Verifique que las PERILLAS de CONTROL de TEMPERATURA estén en la

posición "OFF".4. Enchufe la Plancha en un tomacorriente de 120 voltios de CA.5. Precaliente la Plancha alineando la PERILLA DE CONTROL DE

TEMPERATURA con el ajuste apropiado durante unos 15 minutos antesde usarla. Se encenderán las LUCES INDICADORAS, para indicar que laPlancha se está precalentando. Cuando las LUCES INDICADORAS seapaguen, la superficie de la Plancha estará caliente a la temperaturadeseada y está lista para ser usada. Al cocinar, las LUCES INDICADORASse encenderán y apagarán indicando que se está manteniendo latemperatura de la superficie.

6. La Plancha plegable (Fold ‘n Store™) viene equipada con dos controlesindependientes que le permiten cocinar dos tipos de alimentos al mismotiempo. O puede calentar comida en un lado y cocinar en el otro.

7. Utilice únicamente utensilios de madera, nylon o de plástico resistentesal calor. Los utensilios de metal dañarán la superficie antiadherente de lasBANDEJAS de COCCIÓN. NOTA: Nunca corte comida con un cuchilloen la Plancha.

8. Al terminar de cocinar, gire las PERILLAS de CONTROL deTEMPERATURA a la posición OFF y desenchufe el CABLE deALIMENTACIÓN del toma corriente.

9. Deje que la Plancha se enfríe antes de remover las BANDEJAS deCOCCIÓN y la BANDEJA COLECTORA de GRASA para limpiarlas.

NOTA: Al cocinar tandas consecutivas de tocino u otra comida con muchagrasa, puede ser necesario vaciar la BANDEJA COLECTORA de GRASA paraevitar que la grasa rebalse.ADVERTENCIA: Algunas mesadas son muy sensibles al calor, tenga cuidadode no colocar la Plancha sobre superficies que puedan dañarse con el calor.

1. Luego de usarla, desenchufe el CABLE de ALIMENTACIÓN del tomacorriente. Deje que la Plancha y las BANDEJAS de COCCIÓN seenfríen antes de limpiarlas.

2. Quite las BANDEJAS de COCCIÓN . (Ver pág. 4 "ANTES DE USARLA PORPRIMERA VEZ")

3. Quite la BANDEJA COLECTORA de GRASA y vacíela.4. Repase la Plancha con agua tibia y jabón. Séquela completamente.ADVERTENCIA: NO SUMERJA LA PLANCHA EN AGUA O NINGÚNOTRO LÍQUIDO.5. Las BANDEJAS de COCCIÓN y la BANDEJA COLECTORA de GRASA se

pueden lavar en el lavavajillas. O las puede lavar con agua caliente yjabón. Enjuáguela y séquela completamente.

NOTA: No use almohadillas de lana de acero, limpiadores abrasivos enninguna parte del artefacto. Si es necesario, use una almohadilla de nylon.

COMO LIMPIAR SU PLANCHA ELECTRICA

1. Coloque las BANDEJAS DE COCCIÓN. (Ver pág. 4 "ANTES DE USARLAPOR PRIMERA VEZ")

NOTA: NO coloque la BANDEJA COLECTORA de GRASA hasta que laPlancha esté plegada y trabada.2. Pliegue la plancha y utilice las TRABAS del MANGO para trabar ambos

mangos entre sí.3. Una vez que la Plancha esté plegada y los mangos estén trabados en

posición vertical, puede volver a colocar la BANDEJA COLECTORA deGRASA. (Ver Figuras 3 y 4)

4. Cuando no use la plancha, puede enrollar el cable de alimentación ensus ganchos. (Ver Figura 5)

5. Ahora puede guardar su Plancha extra grande en un lugar muy pequeño.

GARANTÍA LIMITADA DE UN (1) AÑOCONSERVE ESTA INFORMACIÓN DE GARANTÍA

A. Esta garantía es válida solamente para el comprador original de este producto.B. Esta garantía cubre ÚNICAMENTE la reparación o reemplazo de cualquier parte provista o fabricada de este

producto que, luego de ser inspeccionadas por personal autorizado de JCS/THG, LLC presente fallas en suutilización normal debido a defectos de material o mano de obra. JCS/THG, LLC determinará si la unidad seráreparada o reemplazada. Esta garantía no cubre gastos de instalación.

C. El operar esta unidad bajo condiciones distintas a las recomendadas o con voltajes distintos a los indicados en launidad, o cualquier intento de reparación o modificación de la unidad, ANULARÁ LA GARANTÍA.

D. A menos que la ley indique lo contrario, JCS/THG, LLC no será responsable por ningún daño personal,material o cualquier daño incidental o indirecto de ningún tipo como resultado del mal funcionamiento,defecto, uso inadecuado, instalación incorrecta o modificación de este producto.

E. Todas las partes de este producto están garantizadas por 1 año como sigue:1. Dentro de los 30 días a partir de la fecha de compra, el negocio donde ha comprado este producto lo reemplazará

en caso de presentar defectos de materiales o mano de obra (siempre que el negocio cuente con unidadesdisponibles). * Si planea efectuar un reclamo con relación a este producto, siga las instrucciones del punto F.

2. Dentro de los doce meses a partir de la fecha de compra, JCS/THG, LLC reparará o reemplazará el productoen caso de presentar defectos de materiales o mano de obra, sujeto a las condiciones del punto G.

F. Si tiene cualquier otro problema o reclamo con relación a este producto, por favor escriba a nuestroDepartamento de Servicio al Consumidor.

G. INSTRUCCIONES IMPORTANTES DE DEVOLUCIÓN. Su garantía depende de como siga estas instrucciones alretornar la unidad a JCS/THG, LLC:1. Empaque cuidadosamente el producto en su caja original u otra caja adecuada para evitar que se dañe

durante el envío.2. Antes de empacar su unidad para devolverla, asegúrese de incluir:

a) Su nombre, dirección completa con código postal y número de teléfono,b) Un recibo de compra fechado o COMPROBANTE DE COMPRA,c) Un cheque por $10.00 para los gastos de env.o, y d) El número de modelo de la unidad y el problema que tiene. (Póngalo en un sobre y péguelo a la unidad antes

de cerrar la caja).3. JCS/THG, LLC le recomienda enviar la unidad por medio del servicio terrestre de U.P.S. para poder rastrearlo.4. Usted debe pagar todos los gastos de envío por adelantado.5. Escriba lo siguiente en la parte de afuera del paquete:

Todo lo estipulado en esta garantía se adiciona, sin modificar o sustituir, las garantías legales y otros derechos yrecursos incluidos en cualquier legislación que corresponda.
