AAROUNDTOWNBlurbs...CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY In recognition of National Child Passenger Safety Week (Feb 9 to 15). South Florida Baptist Hospital joins community agencies throughout Florida in educating families on proper child restraint in cars and safe car seat installation. "According to the National Highway Safety Administration, motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for children age 4 to 14, and in 2000 more than half of all children under 15 years of age killed in car crashes were completely unrestrained", said Tracy Myers, SFBH Community Health Coordinator. Child safety seat check-up events throughout Florida indicate more than 96% of child safety seats are incorrectly installed in one or more ways. Safety seat and vehicle manufacturer's instructions used together hold the key to correct child safety seat installation, yet instructions are often difficult to understand. Plant City area residents can visit South Florida Baptist Hospital for free car seat installations and inspections. The checks occur every Friday and Saturday from 9am to 4 pm. Please call (813) 754-4444 for more information.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are causing a lot of confusion lately. Both allow you to eighty-six a lot of your cabling at your business or home office, but in different ways. Let's take a look at Bluetooth in this edition and Wi-Fi more in depth later. Bluetooth think limited capabilities at home. It can't support a housewide network, as it doesn't have the capacity or the speed, but it's a convenient way to eliminate some of the wires in your life. Whereas Wi-Fi is a robust format that can accommodate multiple high-speed wireless Internet users, the lower-capacity Bluetooth simply enables some peripheral devices to communicate with each other. Your PDA can sync with your PC without being put in the cradle, your laptop can wirelessly send a print order to the printer, and a tiny earpiece can wirelessly send and receive calls through your mobile phone, all while your phone is sitting in your pocket. Soon enough, perhaps this year, Bluetooth-equipped speakers will hit the streets and you'll be able to play your MP3 collection from any room in the house, directly from your Bluetooth-enabled laptop. If all you want to do is clean up your desk, Microsoft's Wireless Optical Desktop for Bluetooth is just the solution. It's a suite of Bluetooth products includes a keyboard, a mouse and a Bluetooth tranceiver for about $160. The keyboard and mouse use Bluetooth to operate wirelessly with your desktop's hard drive, which, in turn, communicates with other Bluetooth-equipped devices, like PDA's, printers, and cell phones. Adding a Bluetooth printer to the mix keeps the desk all nice and tidy, and also means that one printer can be shared by desktop and portable devices (such as PDA and laptop) without all of the wires. Bluetooth was pioneered by the mobile company Ericsson , so it's no surprise that its cell phones are some of the first to incorporate it. Now linked up with Sony, the Sony Ericsson T68i can wirelessly sync up address and calendar info with your PDA, act as a wireless dial-up modem for your laptop, and access parts of the internet on its own, thanks to it's GPRS (Global Packet Relay Service), which turns your phone into a palm-sized minibrowser. And, the HBH-30 headset allows you to take calls without even touching your phone, and all without fumbling for wires.

In real estate it's location, location, location..This property has all that- being on a lake and golf course lot in the Sutton Woods area of Walden Lake. Plus..Upgrades, upgrades, upgrades galore.are the words that describe this home.
Walk through the beveled cut glass front doors and walk into the living room with step ceiling. No pictures are needed as the pocket sliding glass doors provide a panoramic view of the garden pool, golf course and water. The majority of the rooms in this 4 bedroom, 3 bath, 3,154 square foot home were master planned to face that fabulous view! The large Master bedroom with sitting room overlooks the enlarged heated rock waterfall pool with self cleaning caretaker system. New large, mosaic tile covers the floors in higher traffic areas with neutral colors. Carpeting provides warmth and elegance. The bathroom contains large his and her sinks with vanities in cultured marble. Tile climbs up the wall. You'll want to soak a little longer in this beautiful bathroom with large marble Jacuzzi tub. Extra electrical plugs under the sinks keep the clutter of electric toothbrushes off the countertops.Even the window sills have been upgraded to cultured marble. Inlaid Corian and plenty of cabinet space makes doing laundry less of a chore. The oversized 3 car garage with acrylic floor gives space for vehicles and bikes. A central vacuum makes cleaning a breeze so you have time for bike rides along Walden Lakes numerous trails. The spacious, open kitchen/dining/and family room concept provides an open airy ambiance. The kitchen has Corian countertops and cabinets match with identical Corian handles. The dog walk on the side of the house leaves room for even the four footed members of your family. No pets? This can be easily converted to a beautiful garden area. Built in 1998, this home contains upgrades and amenities galore. An elaborate security system keeps you safe. The pool has a dual cross over alarm system that alerts you to any child who might accidentally get into the pool area. Custom valances over windows have been made to quickly be changed. Windows are covered with a 60% grade UV filter hurricane film, which cuts the glare inside and provides privacy from the outside.
This is a home to entertain in. The Bonus room, which is currently a game room, keeps both adults and kids happy.
Work at home in the office, which looks out on poolside. Cable and phone outlets were added on the lanai so you can even sit outside and conduct business with a glass of sweet tea. Life is everything but tough in this home.
This home is on the market to be sold for $379,900. Contact Realtor, Barbara Jean Kulyk at 781-1915 for more information.
